Is it normal to have anxiety about my Australian accent? I love my country & my accent doesn't even bother me, but as soon as I talk to people from other countries I get hell nervous because apparently my accent sounds sexy on guys, but really harsh on girls (I'm a girl). Is this normal?
You're worrying too much about nothing. It's not like you have an annoying Indian accent. Australian accent sounds nice.
My girlfriend is British and she sometimes fears she sounds posh when she is talking to Americans, so she tries to americanize her accent. I tell her it's fine just how it is.
No, I don't think an Aussie accent sounds harsh on women or girls. I think an accent is what it is. It's just how people speak from a particular region.
Honestly it's not an issue on a girl, men LOVE a strong woman. If her voice has a slight inflection that makes her sound stronger it can be really attractive

If you are traveling to the U.S. or Canada, you can soften your accent by watching American television shows and repeat everything you hear out loud. Or, find a radio news station broadcasting on the Internet.
I know her accent has morphed over the years, but Kylie's Australian accent didn't seem to stop a lot of guys from seeing her as sex on legs back in the day.
Some people can be weird about accents. As long as you're comprehensible, reasonable people don't make a big deal about them.
