Fed up with google hangouts

I am just about fed up with Google Hangouts. It can be a fun way to pass the time, but too often - far, FAR too often, I find myself frustrated or simply disgusted with what I come across there.

Whether it be some preteen getting creeped on by guys who then runs ME off after I dare to express indignation (I kid you not, this has happened more than once) or simply trying to speak to some young woman amidst the harassment of several Middle Eastern guys trying to see her naked, I'm simply sick of it all.

Is it normal to like Google Hangouts but find that it really, really tests the patience due to the sheer number of creeps and assholes there? Can you relate? Any personal stories you'd like to share?

    Google hangouts? I haven't heard of that. Is it some sort of chatrooms?

      Go to Google+ and do a search on the term "hangoutpost". Or better yet, don't.

        Yeah, I've been called on it a few times. It seems many of the regulars already figured it out.
        I have moved Hamid to trolling other websites including bothering my real life friends on facebook.
        It's hilarious when they complain about him to me.

            He comes back sometimes but I was called on it quite a few times already. The Hamid facebook has been great entertainment lately.

      I am shocked. That chap had such an interesting back story… I am not entirely sure, but I think google hangouts has the webcam in use. Also, you have to have a Google+ account.

        Correct, although the use of both the camera and microphone are optional.

      I've seen some pretty interesting screen shots from that site… I don't think I'll try it, unless, I where a disguise. Heck! I could probably pull that off with google hangouts.

    I rarely if ever use google+. If I do, it's because I've publicly shared a comment from my YouTube channel. I've never used hangouts so, I can't relate in those regards. I do find myself increasingly disgusted with some users on tumblr, what with the immaturity, atrocious grammar/Ebonics, sheer stupidity, etc.

    It is normal to like using Google Hangout but as far as that other stuff you just have to do your best to ignore it because there are weirdos everywhere in the world.

    I have never heard of this...that's ok by me. This IIN chatroom is enough strangeness for me, and I am slowing getting over my anxiety.
