Feeling mentaly tired after dreaming

During this last years i have started to notice that my Dreams are getting more and more realistic, visualy and emotionaly, for example, if i Dream about my gf dieing/leaving me, i can see all the details happening and feel all the emotions like if it was on real-life, and then when i wakeup i feel a HUGE and inexplicable relieve.

I dont think i have Lucid Dreams because i cant really controll them, or make cool stuff happen in them, like flying, ect.

But im pretty sure have fully rationality, logic, and self-conscious inside them.

I feel like most of my Dreams are very mentaly demanding, its like they put me in some kind of "puzzle" wich iam forced to finish in order to wake up.
Its very hard to explain.

Because of that, i feel somewhat tired (mentaly, not phsycaly).
And it seems that i cant rest my brain properly, because its working during the day and during the night while sleeping/dreaming.

Is it normal to feel like this? Does anyone experience this too?

Same here. Bad dreams seem to stay with me all day... I heard that your mind doesn't get proper rest when having nightmares or even just overly active/vivid dreams, so that would explain the feeling sleepy even after enough sleep...

I have the same thing as you. There's this one dream. It's not really scary but I takes it out on me. I know I have this dream every once in a while since I was a small kid! I'm 22 now. can you imagine? I also have other dreams like the ones you described. I know they can really challenge you.

Get this. I think dreams are loosely based on your thoughts during the day. Maybe it's a good thing to get like a small notebook. In which you write down the things you ate, drank and did. And the way you felt. Like frustrated or depressed or eccentric. Alright? That we you can see why you could have had a bad dream when you wake up. It might be connected to things that happened the day before. Please let me know if this works for you.

I remember my girlfriend giving me a notebook in which she wrote: For all your New York Dreams. (Because I really like NYC). Sorry for sharing this.

Yea science says that dreams our are subconsciousness processing our thoughts and kind of helping making decisions for us. Telling you what you fear, what you have to get done, etc.
I think your dream is just letting you know how much you care about your gf.
Ive had dreams of a family member dying and it was so real I woke up with tears running down my face. I was actually crying in my sleep. (weird I know) Our brain is crazy.

I normally would not sign up for a site like this, but as you are having "Dreams are getting more and more realistic, visualy and emotionaly" (sic) and you also state "Because of that, i feel somewhat tired (mentaly, not phsycaly)."

I assure you, this is NOT normal. It points to several potential medical problems, possibly sleep apnea or something else. I suggest you go to your doctor to be evaluated and explain to them exactly what you said above.

    Good luck.

I think you could be waking up while you're still partially in REM sleep - that would explain the vivid dreams and why you feel tired afterwards.

    • Yes, i think thats the case. Sometimes i wake up alot of times during the night, and i can still somehow get back to my previously Dream.
