Feeling sorry for a friend ( ..needs an artery stint)

He's calling me for someone to take him to the hospital, but I am trying to get my life together.. I am 63 and alone too, ...what am I worried about if I don't go help him, am I worried that he'll unfriend me.. or he may die?? he lives 100 miles away, haven't seen him in 6 months. he is homeless but lives in a Government subsidiary (cage-box-unit).

    I would do my best to do it or find something alternative for him.

    Call the various charities in the area - and see if they can arrage to get them to the hospital and back.

    I've done this for people at long distances. I usually then do a charitable donation to the charity that assists them.

    That's a tough one. He shouldn't "unfriend" you because of that, but if you feel up for it I would try and help him. On the other hand, it's a hundred miles away, so I don't think you can resonably be blaimed for not helping.
