Flushing tampons

I found out by accident my older sister flushes her tampons down the toilet. Coincidentally we've had plumbing problems a few months back and I wonder if there is a link. I'm no plumbing or feminine hygiene expert but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be flushing those things down the shitter.

    Yeah, she's been clogging up the toilet. Tell her that tampons are not flushable,neither are pads. And if it says so on the box, show her that to her, too.

    There should be information on packaging for such to notify if they are in fact dissolvable. More often than not they not to be flushed down the toilet.

    Do ya'll have a septic system? I hear that is worse than the regular old sewer.

    You shouldn’t flush anything down the toilet besides human waste and toliet paper.
