Is it normal to let these abusive football players get a free ride? I think any man who puts his hand on hues wife, girlfriend, or partner should be put in jail. I'm married to the love of my life sure we argue believe me we do. I've never once put my hands on her. I have slapped my kids rump but that was only when all else failed. I am pretty big 6'3".225 I don't get these fools. I would love 5 minutes alone with these asses!!!

    Ray rice was suspended indefinitely. Unfortunately, he will keep most of his money through contract, but does lose 10 million and no longer has a career, the original fine was 500k. But now he's gone. The NFL didn't let him slide, they attempted to.

    Adrian Peterson's fate may be in the balance, but it's highly unlikely he will be fired.

    Ray McDonald is the only player active (with current abuse charges) However that situation is still under investigation, so it's not exactly the same situation as Ray Rice (in terms of evidence and immediate action) Greg Hardy is also deactivated. It definitely takes a lot for the NFL to remove a player. They discipline players accordingly, but evidence and facts have to be present: Great players = great franchise money and assisting a playoff bound team. Of course they do not want to suspend/fire them.

    I've only heard about 1 foot ball player lately who hit his girlfriend in the elevator. I agree he should be fired and punished just like anybody else but the issue is that people with money can pay their way out of shit they do. Some things shouldn't be able to be paid off but I wouldn't generalize football players over one incident lately.

      Let him take on someone who could take the fool down. Rice took her down with 2 punches. Let him take on someone who can be a match. Silly me sissies can only beat on women

          The video was a result of this, if it had not been for this (the full video, showing him knock her unconscious) He was only going to be temporarily suspended and fined. So it actually could have slid by and been a slap on the wrist.

          Hopefully he will, funny how fans didn't see him clocking players his own size/bigger on the field.

          .. Just the woman he choose to marry and have his child...
