Yeah, just because I'm fine with having been circumcised at birth doesn't mean it should be the norm. That's a personal decision people should make for themselves when they're at an age where they understand the permanency of it

Granted, FGM is pretty different. The main goal in FGM is specifically to remove the girl's ability to experience sexual pleasure or orgasm altogether. Circumcision doesn't affect the ability to have sex like FGM does, although I've heard circumcised men don't experience orgasms as pleasurable as uncircumcised men
I'm circumcised, it wasn't my choice, but I'm not too torn up about it. Personally, I see it as a fair tradeoff: slightly less pleasurable of orgasms without all of the maintenance and upkeep involved with properly cleaning your foreskin

I’ve seen a really horrible form of MGM done by African tribes that wouldn’t even be considered circumcision in a national geographic magazine that made me run crying to my parents when I was 8 years old. I didn’t really know how to describe it because I was so young. I don’t even want to talk about it again, the last time I did a post went silent without and comments for an extremely long time.
