Free olympians vs communists countries

Is there more value and love in free people doing what they do for their country and loving the Olympics versus being forced from a place like Russia or China?

Communist countries have an advantage. Cuba has had so many gold metals in boxing from a tiny island. The state goes to the schools and finds the most athletic kids and tells them they have to be at the gym in the morning.

    • Yeah, the state forces. Do places like Belgium, or the Uk, or the U.S.A force athletes to compete?

Not at all and in the USA they dont really even support them. Its all private non profits funding that stuff. The US government does not fund the sports teams.

        • It is so weird the differences how past athletes in free countries are treated versus athletes from communist countries? Do the lost Olympians beasts from China have good lives decades later? Americans, especially gymnasts and swimmers still have great lives.

Idk about other sports but boxing and in boxing you dont get paid for the olympics at all its considered amateur. In the USA athletes thrive when they turn pro and get to compete in a free market where theres lots of money. Communist athletes thrive in amateur competition where there is no money because the government supports them with all the government programs but they arent allowed to go pro because they dont allow profits like that. Chinas different but still today Cubans arent allowed to go pro. Even tho theyre beasts in the olympics.

            • I hope the Chinese and Russian and Cuban and North Korean forced cheat Olympians, whether they won or not have good lives after the Olympics. I really worry. In western places the competitors will be fine, years later.
