Thats not weird at all. Even if you had friends who are 20, 30 years older than you that wouldn't be weird either.
There are different kinds of friendships; and there are no age differential limits for a healthy mutually supportive friendship. An older person brings maturity and good decision making, a younger person brings vigor and a desire to do new things... It can work as just friends.
All I can say is I have little to no friends and hanging out with people can be a lot of fun like going out to eat, watching movies, shopping, bowling, and trying new things.
I have a friend who's pushing 40 and I'm almost 22. Granted, we met through the internet where talking to people of various ages isn't that weird.
That’s fine. It would only start to be weird if you were 25+ and still friends with 17 year-olds.
Eh. I think it would be ok, as long as it's just a friendship and not like a relationship
It would be a sign that they still had the mentality of a high schooler which at 25 is pretty pathetic.
Also friendships can be harmful as well as romantic relationships, younger people are more vulnerable to being emotionally abused, scammed out of money or pulled into illegal stuff.
No not really. There are some people quite mature for their age, i'd say it's only weird if you make it that way. One of my friends is 3 years younger than me and we became friends when I was 22 and they were turning 19 that year. I had the same concern then and wasn't sure it was gonna work but this friend of mine is more mature than many people older than me that i've met.
Gross, you should only interact with people your age, with the same birthday.
Nah it's normal but just shit if they have other friends who are like 14
