Friend is constantly inquiring about my sex life/dating life

I moved a few years ago to another state, but I have a tradition of talking to one of my good friends every friday night. Every time I speak with him he asks "So how's the dating situation?" or "How's the love life?" not once, but 2-3 times during our hour conversation. I've been telling him I'm taking a break from dating each week and each week he asks the same question multiple times. Then he asks about my sex life and if I'm having sex... I mean, if I tell you I'm not really dating, there's probably not a lot of sex going on.

I just feel that these questions get to be quite intrusive and last night I sort of got irritated with him and let him know I how I felt. We got into a little bit of an argument, but then we ended up changing the subject. Did I overreact? Is it weird that he keeps prodding me about this?

You're not overreacting. Your sex life is really none of his business. Since you told him how you felt about it, he might stop prodding you. If he does bring it up again, it shows he had no respect for your personal life.

You have all the right to say nothing about your sexual experiences with him,If they were a good friend they would know that it is a personal issue,Im thinking maybe he or she is Extremely Jealous about their lack of enjoyment and need to be Satisfied with your experience.

Friends talk about sex, some more than others. You weren't wrong at yelling at them but it may of hurt their feelings... then again if these a true friends being an occasional ass is normal.
