Friends shouldn't destroy relationships of friends.

It seems like every time you get more than a few people hanging out together, somebody starts complaining about somebody they know and gossiping.

it's impossible to know for sure, so you have to hurt everyone equally as bad as you would the person responsible.

Yeah, all my girlfriend's friends blame me for everything bad in the world. Another girl I know was famous throughout high school for being a goth and worshipping satan, but she stopped completely when i started calling myself satan on here. She'll worship a goat head evil bald monster but not me? fuck her dude that's bullshit right?

there's an evolutionary advantage of telling lies and complaining about people you feel would be desirable to a potential boyfriend in the future: it "thins the herd" so to speak, increases the odds of a woman being the most attractive female in her social circle. I doubt most people are aware how much their instincts control their lives subconsciously. In conclusion, it's very normal and will always be normal. :)

Well personally I wouldn't hang around in circles where this sort of behaviour was normal: who needs it?

This reminds me of the last time was part of a clique. It's been almost four years and I'm still not comfortable being friends with groups of other women. I now have a male best friend as I basically consider my boyfriend my best friend. I guess I'm not a girl's girl... meh.

Eh it depends sometimes your friends see things you don't. They're usually the people who've known you the longest and if they don't like the person you're dating then there's probably a reason.
