From now on i'm forever studying the humanities

I studied a bit of the humanities, starting with moral philosophy, that is consequentialist egoism, Aristotle's virtue ethics, and the code of honour (honour, duty, justice, freedom, mercy & hope). The next thing I'll be studying in the humanities will be poetry, and then history. I know all about this style of learning, I wasn't simply learning how to learn, I was learning within the sphere of the humanities.

I have a future in this lifelong learning, is it normal?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I recommend PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) to eveyone that is getting into higher education. I majored in Business and Entrepreneurship and minored in Economics, but there is for sure a huge value in Philosophy, despite all the hate it gets. Learning the debates of all things human will carry you through what ever post grad degree you seek.

People who take any particular interest in philosophy or the arts (especially poetry) should be taken outside and made to face the wall

My son, I studied philosophy for 13 years, do you think I'm not up for the challenge?

Sure. Nothing wrong with learning philosophy. Just know that it will often just be a self serving pursuit. Philosophy is more of an individualistic way to perceive and understand life.

Yeah, my study has the purpose of eloquence and persuasion, which I use on my housemate and still I managed to persuade him with great difficulty since he doesn't believe philosophy.

On the other hand I was trying to persuade virtuous and prudent actions, I suppose he thinks he's already virtuous and prudent and he persuades religious morality on me, I think it's bullshit as much as he thinks philosophy is bullshit.

And ironically hes just showing philosophy in the act of saying philosophy is bullshit.

Could be, which means, oddly enough, he's an anti-philosopher.
