Gained 5 pounds in three days? iin?

I started cutting out calories since I want to lose weight. I lost 12 pounds and kept it off/maintained it for a month by eating the same. I definitely lost the weight because people complimented me and kept telling me I looked thinner without them even knowing I had dieted. I also went down a pant size and one of my old pairs of pants fit.

Then I wanted to lose more again so I cut calories and now in four days, I gained 5 pounds of it back after maintaining -12 for a month..

Why is this? IIN? What am I doing wrong? I don't work out ATM so it's not muscle gain...I literally just eat less and have gained over a pound each day for 4 days now. I went from 145 to 150.

I even use a measuring tape and I went from a 30 waist to a 33 waist...just in 4 days. I can't fit in my pants I bought and had worn for the past 4 weeks..they're too tight for me and I look a bit bloated.

IIN? I'm female but I'm not near my period. My belly is like puffy..

It's normal for weight to fluctuate like that depending on what you eat (not just how much, but the type of food), and stress.

You really should start exercising though. It's not healthy to lose weight by starving yourself. You want to aim for a strong fit body, not a tiny frail body.

If your body is not receiving the right fuel to power it, it will backlash. Cutting calories isn't just the answer. If you want to lose weight eat a healthy, balanced diet and exercise for at least 30-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Not giving enough food to your body can result in it retaining fat because it's not sure when or how much you'll feed it again.

An average woman should eat around 1600-2000 calories per day. Eating lots of "clean" foods will drastically boost your metabolism too as well as drinking lots of water! In fact, if you drink anything but water make sure it isn't loaded with added sugars. A clean diet with some exercise will help you shed the weight no problem.
