Gaming comfort.

What is the most comfortable way you have found to play and enjoy video games for extended periods of time? What type of furniture is the absolute best? Also, what videogame are you currently into?

Here are my options:

A Lazyboy recliner, and I have currently been playing The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

Dedicated gaming furniture (something made specifically for gaming!) 9
Couch 33
Love seat 3

    A big, well-cushioned sofa couch chair...with a modified seat cushion filled with bean bag filling so that my ass doesn't fall asleep if i've managed to lose severe track of time while gaming x}

It depends on what platform for gaming you're talking about. For console games, get as comfy as possible. For PC games, there is no better control system than a good mouse and keyboard. This setup easily beats any game controller on the face of the planet. Unfortunately, usually the mouse and keyboard setup require that you sit upright in a chair, at a desk... so while PC gaming offers the most precise game control, comfort is a bit lacking.

I game comfortably in my bed with a sandwich and a carton of juice. As for games i am into at the moment i would have to say The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is such a fun game!

I sit on the floor for consoles and sit in my desk chair for pc gaming. Currently loving League of Legends, and I'm playing through Diablo 2 and LoZ Ocarina of Time.

Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of Time which is on Nintendo 64 originally. They also have a game disk with just the regular and the Master Quest version for Gamecube and then they came out with it in 3d for the 3DS which I have all of them. :)

The question made me miss my gamer-girl days so much. I quit when I finished Half Life 2. And before that it was Quake II and Duke Nuken. Hahaha. I had a Counter Strike server and played 0 lag, in a loveseat at the time. The best, because I could cross my legs and put the keyboard on my lap. Thanks for asking. ;)

If it's a FPS(online) then I tend to sit on a chair(mine's wooden unfortunately) so my eye height is the same as my tv and the distance from the tv is enough to keep me focused. If it's a RPG or any other type of game I just lay on my bed, taking it easy and relaxing while playing.

When I'm playing competitive games such as Halo or COD, if I'm comfortable I loose focus..but if I'm playing a game such as Skyrim or Fallout, I can be relaxed since those games aren't as difficult and don't require a lot of attention.

Couch or my bed depending on console (or chair if it's a computer game).

    Game History:

-At a young age I would play Robo Pit or Lemmings and watch my brother play Nights. I think we also had an NES console with a joystick.

-Then my brothers and I migrated into gamecube and gameboy advanced and sp where we played games like golden sun, golden sun the lost age, pokemon, mario (not sure which), legend of zelda (ocarina of time and majora's mask), mario part 4, mario cart double dash, super smash brothers melee and probably a whole bunch of others that I don't remember.

-Then there was the computer game stage where I played games like backyard baseball, sonic, etherlords, shining force, golden axe, lots of the tycoon and sims games, etc. (some were later made into emulators)

-Then we got a wii and ps2 and played DDR, mana khemia, dokapon kingdom, wii sports, fit, and play, and some mario and legend of zelda games.

-Now, I pretty much only play a little on my DS lite

You made have noticed the lack of bloody or M-rated games, and that's because I suck at shooting games and don't like/play them.

I have too many comfortable ways I play my games. But I guess I normally do sit in my planet chairs playing my Gamecube, PC and 3DS. When I play with my brothers on their PS3 normally on my parents big poof couch.

I'm not really into a specific game... I've been playing my Sims3 all the way to the Pets expansion. I also need to get further on 3D Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Mario 3DLand and 3D Frogger.

I do enjoy playing the Worms Ultimate Mayhem with my brothers on their PS3, awesome game. Plus Little Big Planet 2, trying to make my own level to publish with them.

Then I guess I've been playing Animal Crossing, Sonic Adventure 2 and Legend of Zelda Wind Waker on Gamecube.

              Hi Saycheese, how are you?

I have played Uncharted, it's a great game. I have also played though Uncharted 2 as well. Also a great game. I tried playing the multiplayer once, but at the time I was too much into Call of Duty to get the hang of it, so I never really got into it very much. It seemed pretty cool though.

              Comment Hidden ( show )
  • I play on this soft large chair that has a big back rest and arm rests.
I'm in to a few games, but it really depends on my mood.
The game I play most of the time is Halo Reach, I think its multiplayer is best for when you either want a competitive game, or just want to make time go by faster.
I play L.A Noire, Skyrim, Army of two, Resident evil, Mass Effect, Call of Duty, Fable, Assassins creed, and DeadIsland. I don't like playing Dead Island without one the person I usually play it with, Ithink it can get quite boring if there's only you in the game, but sadly the person's Dead Island dsk broke, so I'm waiting for him to buy a new one so we can continue playing.

Don't judge me for this as I only ever do it when I'm ill, but...

I have a projector and a bedroom which is the whole top floor of where I live, with a high ceiling. If I angle the projector right and get into bed when it's dark outside, it's like being at the movies, except I'm snuggly in bed, and I'm playing games. If I think I'm going to be ill for a while, I'll put my woofers under my bed because they just fit flush to the bottom of my mattress.

It makes me worthwhile being ill. On the other hand, I have to play on my own because I'm not getting in bed with my male friends!

Except for screen resolution, I'm sure your console numerically superior in pretty much every way. That's not what I care about. I care that I own it, I control it, and I can do what I want without Sony or Microsoft breathing down my neck. (And no, you won't find malware like Steam computer either.)

Anyway, I didn't really mean to start a console versus PC fight, I just thought it was odd that you apparently hadn't considered PC gamers at all from your poll options.

When I DO play a game or two, I am usually at my computer. I don't know what it is, I just never (literally) bought in to consoles. I think that mainly has to due with money and the games themselves, but I'm usually playing computer games.

I always use my office chair for that!

But if the computer gets severe viruses or its outdated and the ram isn't big enough the game might not even play thats why consoles are ideal as every game has the same disc and layers if not more but the console can still read it outdated yes but easier.
