Gaming girlfriend

So my girlfriend plays this kpop game where you can customize your own character and it dances and all this extra stuff. You can make friends and she’d been currently using a female avatar(which she still plays). But her and her friend created a boy account to go flirting with girls. Basically posing as boys just to flirt with girls. She does this every night. She’s not bisexual or anything like that. So I was just wondering is this normal or not. I don’t think it is but I wanted some other opinions.

She’s a troll. Not “normal”, but not uncommon. It would make me question her integrity and honesty.

      She'd probably love IIN.

        I agree.

OP should figure out a way of subtly directing her our way, without admitting he's a member. If he can find out her user name, he might learn all sorts of interesting things about her.

Pretty shitty, but then she doesn't sound like a particularly wonderful human being.

        • Plot twist: what if I told you I was the girlfriend and just posting it in my boyfriends point of view. Well I am, I do it just for fun. And if they ask me if I’m a girl I tell them. I honestly mean no harm by it. He thinks it’s not normal so I posted this, and I see you guys also feel the same. They’re just avatars it’s not like I’m being a catfish ( as my boyfriend says). I just have a girl avatar and a boy one. It’s just fun.

Lol next time you do this: swap the genders where applicable.

I have done the same exercise of writing someone else’s POV on r/AmITheAsshole (hated their behavior and wanted to see if I could justify it or be validated)

I felt I had to be balance between being objective to the situation/ and also their POV in order for people’s judgements to be valid. Interesting/good exercise for processing a dissagreeable series of events that was bugging me for longer than it should’ve.

            Yep, that is a twist.

Have you ever considered that you might have an uncontrollable compulsion to lie and misrepresent yourself? So what's that about?

            • Not really, I just see it as a game. We’re avatars and I don’t take it serious. And I posted it in his point of view cause I’m planning to show this to him, if that’s what you’re also referring to. He doesn’t use is it normal.

So a gaming troll? I remember back when I used to play COD and GTA 5, there were people doing this too. There were also people who would play music, use fake voices, or people who pretended to be cartoon characters. I found it amusing. The only thing that wasn't fun was the angry, crying, whiny adults who took the game too seriously and the loud high pitched voices of kids. Though some of the kids were more well behaved than the adults.

Pathetic trolling - not you, OP, but your girlfriend.

Guys can be pretty horrible, but girls can have a positively nasty, sneaky, malicious streak.

It is usually dudes pretending to be girls.
