Get dizzy after standing quickly?
So whenever I am sitting and I stand up fast, I get dizzy and my vision gets very dark and I become disoriented for about 5 to 10 seconds. Is it normal?

The medical term is "orthostatic hypotension". The cause is a drop in blood pressure which means the brain isn't receiving adequate oxygen in the time it takes for your autonomic nervous system to adjust your heart rate.
There are several possible causes, ranging from fairly serious to simple dehydration. See if any of the possible causes listed here apply to you:

Wouldn't be a bad idea to mention this the next time you see a doctor, but in the meantime, keep yourself properly hydrated and don't stand up so quickly. I've experienced this fairly frequently in the past, but losing weight has made it a lot less frequent.
Bear in mind that if you have a chest infection or something else is making your blood-oxygen level low and your stand up quickly, you could actually pass out. Losing consciousness when standing can result in trauma when you hit the ground.
I haven’t seen the doctor yet and still fine. I’m only 140 pounds so I’m not fat or anything. Easing up on the salt has helped though.
Happens to me sometimes when my allergies are acting up which is what my doctor said caused it.
