Getting high off party poppers

Is it normal that I get high off party popper smoke? I went to a mate's twenty first and he told me that it was possible to get a mini rush off smoke from party poppers. I didn't believe him so I tried it and oh my god is it true. After about five I found myself starting to get giddy and relaxed and just more in the mood to party. Ever since I've found myself buying them whenever I can. I can get a 50 pack of them for 5 dollars or so, so I find it really easy to indulge in them, no matter what the brand it seems.
Is it normal?

    be careful from getting high off of random things like that. it's like huffing, it can do permanent damage to your brain. not a good idea.
