Like many things that gross guys out, it's common, it's normal, and you need to wax it off and never tell anyone else about it.
I wax it so I honestly don't even know how much I have around that area but it's definitely normal. All humans have hair there.
Its completely normal. The question is does it matter to you and/or does the opinion of guys matter to you?
The reality is that modern grooming habits suggest women have little body hair. And I'm not even talking about pubes. Women have been shaving their legs and armpits for almost 100 years. Considering body hair is "normal," is this exactly fair? Not really, but thats life. In more recent years, its become common to trim or eliminate pubic hair, so hair around the anus has become unattractive, too. of course, depending upon how much, many guys wouldn't care.
While most women do not have much, if any, hair around their anus, plenty do. I've only dated two girls who did Brazilian waxing, which includes the anus. Of course, they said it hurt the first couple times but after a few visits they honestly said it was not that bad at all. I get my back waxed (not as sensitive as your butthole, I realize) and its virtually pain-free now.
As a guy, I actually like a nice trimmed pubic area. But honestly any hair south of the vagina is a turn-off. Just sayin'
Since I only trim my pubes, yes, I have it. Shaving and waxing my pubes is non negotiable.
