a significant majority of people in Western civilization deny the existence of God, and claim the credit for all their own successes on their own superiority over Nature and the World.
Yet those same people, when faced with failure, pain or suffering, blame God for "allowing" it to happen.
is this normal?
You know what, I think you don't even care about these issues and you're just posting these stories to get a rise out of people. Is there some sort of method to your madness or do you just enjoy watching people quarreling over pointless crap?
I don't think people truly understand what they are doing when they blame "God" for the bad things that happen to them. Good or bad, it's just another life lesson. You should at least try to find something useful to do with the new knowledge.
I dont believe in god by name I do believe something is out there that is the reason be that something like god or not but to say "Why wont god fix the problems we make" is too selfish and I think the people who think if the creator hasnt fixed the problems "We" make then it doesnt exist are just plain morons.

All I see is you pointing at hypocrisy in human nature and while that's great this has nothing to do with IIN.
simple. because we live in a fallen world. god gave satan free-reign of the physical world. paradise will reign when god returns.

Well god is real he rose again on Easter. And ifbu are a Christian thanbu should tell them he is real and he is coming AGAIN. But it is not normal to not believe in God and still blame him for it! They just want someone to blame

I'm an atheist, but I don't blame god for bad things. I blame the situation or myself. When you don't believe in God that means you don't have that invisible being as a part of your life, good or bad.
Cuz they can't make up there mind and they think that if somethings wrong it couldn't possibly be there fault. Hypocritical. Btw I ain't religiouse, just pointing out they need to pick a side

mostly out of habit. I used to do too even when I realized existence of a god is pure horseshit. Now I don't either I can fix it or can't, no one else will do it for me.
Its called a double standard. There are alot in the world. Get use to it :P
