Gosh darn tonsil stones

grrr so lately its been an obsession of mine i made the mistake of youtubing it and have been haunted yet cannot stop doing it. its like something so ugly that you cant stop staring. but its those gosh darn fiddlesticks, no good TONSIL STONES.

some of you might ask. well, anonymous author, what are tonsil stones? perhaps i shouldnt open pandoras box to haunt you, but for those who suffer, let me remind you. theyre these tiny, cottage cheese looking sized balls that you sometimes cough up or come out of your throat. they smell absolutely disgusting.

i remember coughing them up when i was younger, but only last week did i start digging for them. so i poked my tonsils and forced them out from their cracks. out came maybe 6 to 8 tonsil balls. it was disgusting. sorry guys to disgust. they looked old like theyve been there a long time. my tonsils were swollen, full of them. i had to pop them out. ugh im getting disgusted just by typing this:/

but is it normal that i am getting at least one tonsil stone DAILY? every day i can feel something in my throat. everyday i poke, sure enough, out comes a stone. its irritating, maddening, and enough to drive someone insane. not to mention they give you bad breath no matter how much you brush your teeth

ive googled this, and have found no answers. is it normal to have daily tonsil stones removed??

Is this normal?

Look into getting them removed. I had my tonsils removed at a very young age due to tonsilitis. I can imagine tonsil stones must be annoying. I do not miss my tonsils at all.

That happens to me too, only I don't dig for them. I went to the doctor and he said to stop consuming sugary drinks such as coke and since I have stopped, the tonsil stones have gone too

i get them too and they really do smell awful. Using listerine and gargling seems to help for me.

Having wisdom teeth and not brushing your tongue can contribute to tonsil stones. For now gargle with peroxide. But eventually, you'll want to talk to your physician about a more permanent solution (removal).

  • You need to get your tonsils removed.

Make sure you brush your tongue right at the back of your throat as well as just your teeth. Gargle with mouthwash. If that doesn't help, go see someone about it.

Man that sucks for you. Good luck with getting them taken out, and in the meantime I'd advise chewing a lot of gum, as they give you bad breath which you might not be aware of. I'd also try gargling with salt walter - really tilt your head back and gargle like a motherfucker. Good luck with it!

Ifbthis is happening you have an injection in your tonsils and should see your local GP about getting them removed

    • im saving up to get them removed. or at least have them scraped smooth. it might be that i have too many holes and pits on them to allow food to get stuck in there and build up.
