Okay, so I went on a camping trip with some friends of mine. Finally, we got there and unpacked. We were pretty hungry, so, we decided to drive into town for a quick meal. My friends all went inside, but I stayed behind to have a smoke. Out of nowhere this creepy old man comes toward me and says my name. I asked how he knew my name and he said he was my guardian angel, he also knew my birthday, my family, just everything he wouldn't know abt. It was freaky! Then, he vanished..no word! I told my friends and they didnt believe me of course. I was at a loss for words..and the entire camping trip I was scared as shit.

    Hmm, maybe if I ever decide to stalk someone I should just tell them I'm their Guardian Angel. I should also request money in exchange for my services as Guardian Angel.

    Not that I would ever do that.

      I agree with this. Why would a guardian angel tell you and just leave? That doesn't make sense even if it was true. What would they be trying to accomplish?

    "Disappear" as in thin air or just melted into the shadows?! It's not normal. I get the vibe that you weren't hallucinating either. I think this "man" or whatever he is, is stalking you. You need to tell the police!

    Don't be discouraged by scoffers and nay-sayers! Just bear in mind that the only way to really find the truth is by being open minded.

    When christopher columbus declared the world was round & people questioned his sanity and scoffed.

    When henry ford was developing the first car, people laughed at him saying to get a horse.

    My point? Even the most seemingly far fetched ideas can be true.

    Did u get a gut feeling it had a good vibe? Its also possible your friends played a joke on you, though.. lol

    Persons are real, 'angels' are not (unless you would like to revert this word back to it's original meaning, that being, literally a 'messenger' [who is a real person]). If you would like to dispute this, then please describe the Physical properties of this so-called spirit.
    In this instance, however, since you had made an allusion (indirect reference) to what the man had said, it is acceptable usage.
    Now you will know how to challenge the man, instead of being freaked out.

    [Okay, so] is superfluous. You should have begun your story with; "I went on a camping trip..."
    Finally, we arrived there and unpacked. Use arrive instead of got. Properly, it should be, 'had arrived', but in this instance, 'had' is understood and is acceptable.
    We were very hungry... Use very (or one of the many synonyms) instead of 'pretty'. Remember, 'pretty' means beautiful. What you said, is that you were beautiful hungry. It does not make sense.
    About, please do not use textese.
