Kinder based upon knowledge gained.
Crankier based upon knowledge gained.
-Crankier with ability/patience to put up with bullshit
-Kinder with ability to help people, "teaching to fish rather than giving a fish"
-Crankier with probably being a tiny bit more stubborn/solidified in my beliefs
-Kinder with having a little more understanding for what someone is going through
-Crankier with having a little less hope and rose colored glasses view of the world
That's 3 cranky points and 2 kind points.. so I guess CRANKIER but it's only a few notches in that direction down the spectrum, Im still a rather empathetic and kind individual.
I'm still quite young as well and I suppose only time will tell if i keep moving in that direction to a point where the scale starts to tip toward the cranky old fart side ;0
It’s a mixture of both I find. I’m in pain/tired/overwhelmed more often which tends to make me crankier but I’m also softer, I appreciate little things more, friendships seem deeper and I have a greater wisdom of people and empathy towards their pain
Most children (in first world countries) are oblivious to the issues we face as adults. I believe I was a kind child, and still am, but I understand why people become bitter and cranky.
Much more kind. I have also become very selective making friends. This selectiveness sidesteps crankiness real well.
With age you learn not to make decisions when you're emotional. That helps a lot.
Both: I have much less tolerance for people who let me down, lie or listen to lies about me and believe them without checking and generally people who waste my time and/or energy.
I'm kinder to people I'm close to and more patient with them than I used to be.
Both, I'm a big time pessimist wrapped in a thin chewy layer of optimism.
Both. I have more compassion for my elders and those that are distraught. On the other hand I don't tolerate fools and liars.
