Has anyone had a man made diamond for a long time to see if they last?

I am looking into buying a synthetic diamond since everything I thought about it sounded great. They are less expensive, look better, decreases the "blood diamond" ordeal, and creates jobs in the US. I even thought that since it is made by a company, that they could probably offer better deals for lost or damaged goods. So what is the drawback? Is it all a scam selling us swarovski diamonds? Do they loose values, shape or dissolve with age? Could you be kind enough to share your experience?

Technically all diamonds slowly decay into graphite, since it's more stable. But you will never notice this cause it takes a really long time. BTW, just buy fake diamonds. Nobody is going to bother examining it to see if it's real, plus it saves you a lot of money.

They have no real value as with natural diamonds is all smoke, mirrors and clever marketing creating a perception of scarcity to establish market value.

The worlds best simulated diamonds are manufactured in Russia. In the late 1980's their technology was so exacting they flooded the European market (specifically the engagement sector) with thousands of 1carat, brilliant cut white stones which were virtually identical to the real thing. This actually sent the DeBeers group into a tailspin from which they have never really recovered. The incident was known as 'the death of the diamond'

As Mr.mr commented above the ONLY thing that made the synthesised stones detectable - they were flawless. Too perfect.

Swarovski is different. It is not a brand of diamond but a crystal. Similar to the crystal found on a Rolex or Omega watchface. They are grown in columns and then shaped.

Synthesised or created diamonds are just as good as the real thing without the bullshit marketing and geopolitical trauma. IMO

They are structurally Identical to natural diamonds, in fact there are no real differences whatsoever between synthetic diamonds and one's found in nature except that the ones in nature usually have more flaws.

So no they won't lose shape or dissolve. They are just as strong as real diamonds.

As far as loosing value IDK but its possible, because they are able to artificially make them in limitless quantities.
