Because media outlets are convincing people to have short term relationships, spread disease and destroy the family unit. It's working.
Unfortunately so. As someone who doesn't get the hype around sex I would never feel the need for more than 1 partner, and yes I do take for granted that being poly is mainly about having sex with more than 1 person. These people may claim it's for other reasons so it sounds better but that's not the case.
Every single poly-person I know of in real life gives off major fuckboy/fuckgirl-vibes before I even knew they weren't monogamous.
Well, as long as everyone is on board with it, who cares.
Seems like too much drama for me.
I was giving this more thought & with the trend of demasculinating men it fits right in with a growing number of cuckolds.
people have no regard for promises and just do what pleases themselves weather it is right or not
I don't really pay attention. But now that I think about it, I can say it kind of has become more popular. I'm not surprised.
Yes and I think that it is a good thing. Most people would probably have more than one partner if they were absolutely sure that their present partner would not be hurt by it. But we've been conditioned to think that our partner is a sort of property and that we have rights on their feelings and body.
Sex is general has become less taboo. With that being less taboo, of course polyamory is going to be less taboo.
I'd rather be alone than share, or be shared. I'm not attracted to people who don't share my views on sex, love, and relationships.
I mean I never minded open relationships but I tend to go along with whatever makes my lover happy
Idk, I haven't really noticed, I just think it's becoming less and less taboo and more people are open about it. I could never be involved in it.
I'd say both. It is less taboo and as such has become more popular.
Note that I've been poly virtually all of my sexually active life. Always been up front about it - and found Ladies willing to participate.
In my case... its long term emotional/caring partners only. Multiple years is typical for a relationship, with 14 years being the longest.
