Have any of you guys ever shoplifted?

...Just wondering, you know. By the way, if you have shoplifted, I'm curious to know why you did it, and was it worth it. Would you do it again?

I remember getting a complete set of action figures and never got caught. I even had a strategy to how Id do it everytime I went to Toysrus and getting rid of the packaging too. This was all in Grade 4. I stopped when I knew it wasnt about the toys anymore but was the thrill and being able to get away. The fact it wasnt about the object itself scared me, made you feel invincible but when you are older, one mistake and youre done. So I stopped. Id have to say I miss the thrill and plotting...

I went through a thievery phase from 14-15, I stole a shit ton from all kinds of stores (never from people's homes). I got caught once but the store didn't press charges. I can't go into Winco for 100 years though, supposedly. haha

my friend taught me how and I have done it with tons of clothes and never been caught :s I stopped though. It was mostly because we wanted pretty things we should not afford and two innocent looking teenage girls would never be suspected of stealing.

When I was around 15-16 maybe even early 17, me and my friends would steal chocolate and sweets and all sorts. Never from small independent shops though. One time we filled a small duffle bag full when we got out. I'd often sneak toblarone bars up my sleeves.

My friend would steal multiple tubs of Ben and Jerry's. His tall stature, very bad posture and baggy coat made an excellent cover up. Another friend once just opened his bag, and started grabbing drinks and sandwiches from the fridge in a shop whilst customers watched and laughed about how blatant he was. Never mentioned this to me though, the arsehole!

I'm past it now. I'm sure some of my mates still do occasionally. Ahh the good ol' days (only a couple of years ago...)

    No, never!

Once, in what I think was the mid 2000's, one of my aunt's foster "children" was suspected of shoplifting. I can't remember the exact details and I don't think I ever really knew them when it happened. Apparently, my aunt had found something and she asked the girl where she got it. I think the girl said she bought it but they didn't believe her. I think they claimed that there was no way the girl could have had money. It seems she didn't have a job or an allowance or even that much in the bank. I don't think that it was fair assumption on their parts because considering the factors, she could have still bought it with money. I vaguely remember the girl back tracking and saying that a friend bought it for her. Of course, the adults wanted to know which friend bought it for her and when she gave her answer they still wouldn't believe her.
The situation was handle very poorly. I think I was instructed to be very careful with my things. I'm pretty certain that my religious aunt didn't want the girl to visit her him for fear that she would steal something. Her foster parents considered telling the grocery store and possibly report this "theft" to the authorities but they didn't want her to go to jail.

I can't get over how judgmental these people were. They really deserved stout slappings. I think kids, especially mid-late teenagers, deserve privacy. It gets breached when you start trying to find out about every little crevasse/aspect of their lives. Its one thing if the parents are very concerned about something and another completely different thing if they are just trying to nose into personal business. If she said that she didn't do it, they should have at least tried to believe her.

Once upon a time, when i was twelve years old, i had no life! I stole heaps of stuff from the mall with my best friend for the fun of it. We were only caught once, but the shopkeeper let us off...

We then continued to steal! XD. Don't worry guys, i grew out of it.

When I was ten, I once took a rubber ball from the store. In my defense, it had no barcode or price tag on or near it. Did I know that I was shoplifting? Not until I showed it to my parents after we left the store...
