Have you ever been attacked by an animal?

I was once bitten and then chased by a turkey when I went to visit a coworker. I quickly went into my car and the turkey sat there, staring at me and waited for me to come back out. Every time I tried to come out, he'd get up and walk toward the car. I had no idea where the turkey came from or why it chased me. What about you people? Did you ever get attacked by an animal?

I've been attacked by a dog, a German Shepard. I've been chased by a big white goat, with horns, named Zolton. A young black Angus bull pinned me against a snow-bank with his head for about ten minutes. An aggressive rooster attacked me once when I was feeding the chickens. And I've been accosted by geese once or twice. I LOVE animals!

Hey, Rusty!!! Yeah, they aren't typically known for biting humans.... unless you're a jackass like myself. I caught one on a fishing pole in the Florida keys. An octopus out of water resembles an amorphous blob with tentacles. I thought it would be funny to throw it over my shoulder/back and run into the hotel room screaming as if I was being attacked by some unknown creature. What I didn't know at the time,12 yrs old, was that they have a sharp beak, kind of like a parrots, for eating hard shelled prey like crabs and scallops. It bit the living fuck out of me on my right shoulder. I actually have a tattoo of one where I was bitten.

I'm glad to see you're still here. You're one of the few people I used to talk to that has acknowledged me since I've started coming around again.... Not that I've made any real effort myself. Anyway, thanks.

Thanks man! I'm really glad to see you still here too (at least every now and then). I've never really felt like leaving this place, but I did have a bit of a fallout a while back right after the moderation process changed and I was thinking about leaving for good. I took a break for a solid month and then came back. I think I'm okay for now. There seems to be lots of positive users at the moment and that is what I love about this place that will keep me coming here.

^Holy freaking crap man! I bet that hurt like a motherfucker! Pretty cool that you actually got a tattoo where it bit you though. I bet instead of fake screaming, you ended up screaming for real. Haha!

I was attacked by an ostrich! It was at this safari park in Texas where you drive your car through and feed food pellets to the animals. I was feeding an ostrich through the passenger side window, and it stuck it's head in the car and tried to grab the bag of food pellets with it's beak. The bag basically ripped open and exploded all over me. the ostrich was pecking me all over, trying to get at the bits of food...it kept bashing it's head on the interior roof of the car and snapping at my boobs and my fingers and my face and my hair...I was screaming and dying laughing...everyone else in the car was snapping pictures! Too bad no one made a YouTube video :(

When I was a kid a duck mother got angry at me, probably because I was interested in its ducklings, finding them cute.

Did not make contact but it sure as hell was a long chase. A bull suddenly goes bonkers and chooses me out of all people and I realise this as it seems to come towards me no matter how much I try to shake off its glare. So I finally decide to make a run for my life and end up on a tree and shake if off my ass. Never felt my heart race that fast. !!

Got chased by a big dog when I was exploring fields with my brother. Scared the living shit out me, I jumped right over my auntie's fence to get away. It stood there yapping for a bit but we were safe.

I could see him from a distance but I never chose to change my route. He was lying there chilled and all. I could see he didn't notice I was around so it was hard to judge his reaction. As I drew closer he might have picked up my scent.

He turned to me and immediately he threw his mouth wide open, revealing his sharp canine teeth. We locked eyes and I knew that the moment I turned I would be shredded to pieces and probably be served for dinner. Fortunately, that made him keep his distance as I kept my distance. Seconds later he retreated back to his place. He was one angry Chihuahua.

On the continental divide in Canada, I had a black bear encounter. I immediately blew a loud whistle and pelted him with small stones that I had collected in a pile. He ran away.

I was in Alaska walking alone along the railroad tracks, looking down so as not to stumble, when something made me look up. Standing about 10 feet from me was this bear. When you encounter a bear, the one thing you are not supposed to do, (unless you have someone with you who is a slower runner than you) is run. So I stood there looking at him and he at me, for a short time. I slowly backed off, hopped across a small creek and made my way into town, without further problems. I wasn't attacked, but it was probably a near thing.
