I personally think that rape has had a bad rap over the years. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone the acts carried out by rapists, as far as I am concerned when women will have sex for money why risk raping somebody. (granted I probably only say that because I am quite rich) Most often Rape isn't about sex and is just about dominating somebody (more mentally than physically) and therefore is considered more an act of violence. The reason I say rape has been given a bad rap is because without the act of rape then mankind wouldn't be around today. I say this because The United Nations receive about 250,000 cases which are reported to them annually (over 65 countries). That means that every 10 years there are 2.5 million cases reported to them. Considering that this is one of the most under reported crimes I would say that that figure might be at least double that. that means that in 10 years alone there were around 5 million cases. Now I would like to take you back to a time before abortion was made available, therefore if you were raped you would have to give birth to the baby (e.g. cave man times where most cave men were known to have sex forcibly with women). This happened for thousands of years and is partly responsible for why we are all here today. We each of us have had countless generations of family members who had been raped or committed rape leading back to the beginning of mankind. Therefore considering the lack of birth control they had thousands of years ago we are all the by products of rape conception, not firsthand but throughout the generations. e.g. if your great great great great grandmother wasn't raped and gave birth to your great great great grandfather then your family wouldn't be around today as your family might have ended with her. If there have been at least between 2.5 - 5 million cases reported (with 65 Countries) of rape within a 10 year period, the actual figure of how many rapes have occurred throughout history is incomprehensible and further more the amount of people who have given birth due to rape is also to large to comprehend. For those people out there who have been raped I do feel for you and have meant no disrespect from what I have written, As I am not saying that rape is a good thing, but am just referring to the points that most people overlook. I guess I’m just abit to optimistic for my own good.

I haven't exactly been raped but I've been touched inappropriately. It was scary as hell, I was really afraid he was going to rape me but fortunately it didn't go that far. Some asshole on this site said I deserved it...I will never stop hating him. Burn in hell.

While this is highly debatable long my immediate family, my grandmother did sexually abuse me as a child. There is one incident that stuck out the most for me and that was when she raped me in the shower. I didn't enjoy it in the slightest.

This is one of the reasons I prefer to have a son than a daughter. I can't stand the feeling that someone may rape my family. Sure, men can be raped too, but it's not as common. If I have a daughter I will put her into martial arts classes and stick to her side until she has a black belt with stripes.

I had a dream that I was raped and beaten by a famous actor I'd never reveal who though. I had my left cheak bitten off and in my dream I could see my muscles and bones. I suppose it's hard for me to answer because some people have told me what I went through was rape and others have just said it's assault. Either way, I don't care that much for the specific label.

I used to sleep with people for money and every now and then I'd be with someone who beat me and forced themselves on me without paying.
