Have you ever held a gun at someone before?

No and I don't plan to. I believe you only hold a gun at someone, when you know you're ready to pull the trigger. The rest is nonsense that often leads to tragic accidents.

Self defense and that's it.

I aimed a BB gun at a friend in Walmart, and then the guy working in that department chased us away.

My ex-wife pointed her puny .22 pistol at me once. I laughed in her face but she had the audacity to pull the trigger. The tiny bullet failed to even penetrate my thick coat (this was in the winter, she was mad at me on Christmas Eve for something I did), but it did leave me with a fairly large bruise on my chest. Long story short, we both got what we deserved in the end. At least, I hope we do. God shall be our final judge, jury, and executioner (for her, hopefully)

Yes. When I was living in NY.. I was just coming home from a nursing shift when I was just starting out in the hospital scene.. I went to my apartment and closed the door behind me, locked it of course.. washed up and went to bed. I was woken up by a noise at my window (I lived on the second floor).. and then my door. Someone had picked the lock and broke into my home. I don’t think they were expecting me to be there. I heard the person who came in. My bedroom was located in the back of the apartment, and I always kept my door closed, sometimes locked. The person who broke into my home was approaching my living area and that’s when I knew he was working alone and i had a way of defending myself. I kept a pistol in my nightstand drawer, loaded of course, but obviously on safety. My friends have guns as well and keep them in safes under their beds. I don’t understand that method. What will you say if you’re in a similar predicament? Hold on sir, let me just crack the code to this safe, load my gun and shoot you, or at least threaten to do so? No thanks lol… Anyway, as he approached my door, I went to my bathroom which was attached to the same room with another door that lead to the living room. Don’t ask me how I did this. I could literally hear myself breathing, as well as my heart pounding. The man entered my bedroom and probably realized I was just there. As he quickly rushed out looking to leave most likely, I was standing there with a gun and pointed it at him. I had and have a permit so I was not in the wrong. Luckily he was unarmed. I didn’t shoot him but I had all intentions of doing so. Long story short, I called the police and he was arrested and put in jail for attempted robbery and for burglarizing another apartment building 3 weeks prior. He was sentenced to 5 years without probation. I don’t live in NY anymore. He doesn’t know my name. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in jail again for something else

I used to carry all of the time. And I have had it ready to use a couple of times, too, But I haven't carried for a long time since I don't find myself in situations where a gun is necessary anymore, but I always have some form of a weapon on my person at all times.

Yes...when I was nine. Most traumatic experience. I ended up shooting my brother.

Fun times in the navy, someone accidently entered the bases entrance and that entrance had no U turns. A park was nearby so sometimes civilians took an innocent wrong turn thinking it was a short cut dispite the 4 signs saying otherwise. So if you accidently entered it was a long drive up to the guards who would allow you to enter and then make the U turn out. Some genius wanted to cut the whole asking the guard thing out of the picture and tried to pull a uturn suddenly after entering the gate and before talking to the guards. Which ended about as poorly as you would think. Guns drawn, guy panicking and his kids were crying making things worse. Tire traps activated and now no one could leave through that gate until his car was towed. It was an interesting thing to watch as we were on the smoke deck (smoking area)

No, but I've done target shooting before at an outdoor sports centre.

A BB gun when I was about 11 or 12. My brother, and a couple cousins along with myself took turns running back & forth across the basement while the others took turns shooting at him. Headshots weren't allowed.
Does that mean I survived a mass shooting?

I accidently pointed a gun at someone when unloading. He was standing to my right in the exact spot I instinctively angle my revolver when unloading(single action)
