I stole a Snickers. It tasted like guilt.

I was 7 yrs old and I stole a pack of wrigleys juicy fruit gum and my mom brought me back to the Giant and made me confess to the manager, and the manager told me if I ever did it again I will go to jail. And I never did it again.

i was addicted, but then i was getting older and a little to obvious, so i got a job and grew out of it

At Wal-mart they have these camouflage cowboy hats. One day with my friends I said what do you think they'd do if you just walked out with it on. So, I put it on, walked past all the cashiers, and the greeter, who for some reason didnt remember I didnt have it on when I walked in 10 minutes ago. And walked right out the door. I was amazed at how stupid they were. A CAMOUFLAGE COWBOY HAT, yeah, like you see someone wearing that everyday.

So anyways, I went back and did it again. And got myself another.

Each time the tag was just dangling on the back of my neck too.

I did when I was a kid and that's it.

When I was 10 I stole a pack of Juicy fruit gum and put it my sock since I did not have pockets at the time. So, as I am walking down the street with the gum in my sock, a bee happened to find it and stung me in the leg close to where the gum was. Lesson learned.

started when I was 11- me and my brother used to steal packs of cigars. First it was always tobbaco. Used to steal from the store I worked in esapecially every halloween- they had some cool costumes. When I was spending my summers in Germany used to steal flowers and gifts for the people whose house I was invited to. Stole a bottle of wine once but it was only a display bottle and just water! When i was hard up in Europe stole fruit, clothes,sunglasses, even a ring for my girlfriend, u name it. Can't remember last time i stole anything though. Oh yeah, last week. I stole a Edgar Allen Poe book from work since i was quiting. Don't really shoplift anymore. Just fond memories.

Supermarkets throw food out in locked dumpsters, because they would rather let it rot than let a hungry person eat for free. That kind of attitude goes against every moral fiber in my being, and I see nothing wrong with robbing them blind. I've been through a lot of hard times and homelessness, and I've shoplifted so I could feed my mom. Sometimes I even steal more food than I need, so I can give it to beggars. I like to steal perishable food, because that is the stuff that most often gets thrown away and goes bad, so I'm not actually affecting the store's profits, I'm just putting the food in the mouths of the hungry instead of the garbage.

Once I got caught and was brutalized by the cops, dragged on the road so bad I got scars, had a rib fractured, and was illegally told I couldn't speak to a lawyer. I'd been stealing food. How can anyone think the law is right in this situation?

I went through a phase in highschool when I stole EVERYTHING. We would steal disposable cameras from KMart, and then when they were developed, say we had more shopping to do, and everybody at the front assumed we paid in back. Later I lifted bags and bags of sweatshirts and clothes from the mall, going on shopping sprees all afternoon. Fill bag, empty in car, fill in mall. Repeat. I still can't believe I never got in trouble, considering it was thousands of dollars of stuff, but I've since stopped (when therapy for other compulsions and anxiety kicked in). I even remember stealing stupid shit from friends; An eyeshadow brush I liked, pills from some strange kid's room at a party. Damn. Now that I type this up, it seems more messed up than it did at the time... <shudder>

Uh yeah I picked up the habbit summer 09 and it was a huge part of my life for months, crazy what I'd get away with. Never paid for anything. Even stolen in stores with cops in it. But then karma hit me in May me and two friends went on a huge spree at Kmart and got caught. Scariest thing of my life. I still did for about a month after that, but luckily now it never crosses my mind. Never regretted anything more.

i got into shoplifting when i was visiting cousins in canada a few years ago... i went out to the mall with them and when we got home my cousin ended up with loads of nice clothes and jewellery.

i was like 'wtf i didn't see you buy anything!!?' so she explained she just stole them and it was 'cool' amongst her friends. i started doing it with her coz i saw how easy it was and i wanted the free things but unfortunately took the habit back with me to the uk.

i'd never steal clothes here as they're often tagged but i do take jewellery and make up a lot, especially benefit coz it's so expensive :/

I used to once in a while. Then at the mall my friends were stealing clothes and put them in my backpack and we got caught. They made us watch the video of ourselves. Ugh. Had to go to an anti shop lifting workshop. Totally bogus that was ages ago

I went through a phase where I started to shoplift. I had NEVER done it before and suddenly one day (I was Christmas shopping) and I stole a lottttt of stuff, probably like $500 worth of stuff. I was amazed at how easy it was. I kept doing for a while, until one day I got caught at kmart stealing some stupid stickers. They let me go but it scared me. SO I have stopped and now I look back at it and I feel blessed I didnt go to jail. I can't believe I risked so much for so little!

When I was 16 I used to shoplift at Walmart big time with one of my best friends. We stole everything, headphones, hard drives, sodas, cameras, etc... Some of it we even sold. I stopped when I was caught though. Getting caught sucked because I was arrested and sat in a police station until about 4 in the morning when they finally got hold of my sleeping mother. I had to hire a lawyer and the whole bit. I am lucky I was still 16 when I was caught though, because in my state you are considered an adult at 17. I believe we should steal from the large corporations such as Walmart because they are screwing Americans over. If I didn't have getting caught to fear I would definitely still be stealing.

I remember the one time. I was 4 or 5 I think, and true to honesty, I walked out with a lolipop and didn't know I was stealing. They saw me though, and then I learned I have to pay for it. I haven't shoplifted since. I stole cookies from the cookie jar though. I'm serious, some of my life is so cliche'! I used to always steal cookies from the cookie jar. SOMETIMES I WOULD TAKE THEM ALL! But I NEVER GOT CAUGHT! HAHAAHA (We had lots of cookies!)

I don't think it's wrong to steal from corporations. Just not independent businesses or friends or anything like that.

The best way to do it is to pretend to shop while you wait for someone to come out of a change room. Then you quickly take that room before the store clerk can see how much stuff you have. Always take more in with you than you plan to take. Then they have no proof.

when i was around 15, my friend and i stole so much crap from this one store that we literally put the place out of business.

A friend of mine used to work at a Spar (chain newsagents) until he got 'fired' for trying to stop someone from stealing alcohol... He had a set of keys for the shop made prior to this incident and now I've had some made for me, the cameras in the shop, although they work they don't actually record, it's just a live feed on a screen inside the shop. Every couple of weeks I take part in a 'raid' in which said friend and I steal a few things which probably only add up to like £25-£40, it's more the adrenaline of doing something wrong than the stuff we are stealing, but hey I guess I'm a criminal just the same...

I accidently walked out of a shop with a magazine once, but i went back in and paid for it. No alarms went off or anything, so i could have stolen it easily

I used to do it with obscenely overpriced items like razor blades or cosmetics. Seriously, where do they get off charging $28 for four measly razor blades.

Heh, I guess more people had the same idea, because they upped the security ten fold on those items now. So I pretty much stopped because of that.

I've stolen some weird pointless stuff like things out of hallmark and carnie exhibits until I figured it wasn't cool, kind of. I would leave a lot of it in random locations on people's properties, like in a garden or on top of a roof or a tree, or I'd destroy it in a cool way. Pretty funny stuff but it was inconsiderate to other people.

I steal things that I feel nobody should have to pay for, and only from big stores. I wouldn't steal from a family or a person that might miss it, but I'm 15 and don't have a steady source of income and I live with a single mother, so if I'm hungry, damn right I'll steal a 75 cent candy bar lol. I mean, I can afford it to an extent, and I'll even be buying stuff when I do it, but nobody should have to pay for food or medicine, so occasionally I take it without paying. Those camera's don't even work anyways!

One time I wanted some gum and the next thing I know when I get home it's in my pocket and I didn't get it from the cashier. I felt so bad! I took it back and made them charge twice for it.

I read a book about Shoplifting "all my dangerous friends" so I did it because the book made it out to be cool. I guess I would have been pretty mad if I was caught because the book makes it out to be easy to steal and not get caught, but that doesn't mean people won't get caught if they do it.

I did it when I was 8 7 yrs old and it was a 80cent lip gloss becuase my mom wouldn't get it 4 me.Never after that and how do you not get caught?

Once when I was little, I went grocery shopping with my mom and I reaaally wanted M&M's so I just grabbed some and put them in my pocket, but then we got home and I started eating them and my mom saw and she didn't know where I got them from... so she made me tell her and then we went back to the store and made me say sorry, haha. :'D

I only did it once. I just wanted to see what it was like. So i found this cheap thing that had it's tag ripped off, and I took it. It was a fun adrenaline rush, but I won't do it again.

I kinda shop lifted when i was much younger with my girlfriend, but she kinda tricked me and told me she bought it. It was in a mall and because i didn't know she stole it, it was easy for me to walk out of the store not looking all guilty and shit. But eventually i found her stash a year later, broke up with her and turned her in. ... that.... was... fun. (sarcasum)

That's what my mum did we were at the store i was 10 year's old and there was a test comin up on math so i stole one of those calculater's and hid it in my pocket when i got home i took it out but my mom caught me and shoved me in the car and drove to the sttore and told the manager he turned really red FATASS MUTHERSUCKER I FAILED THE TEST

It happened twice.

I thought I was the only one this ever happened to.

Once or twice I've walked out with stuff by accident (a nail file, and lipgloss, I think). I didn't bother returning it since I didn't notice it until I got home, and I thought the store might call the cops if I brought it back, even if it was an accident.

I steal whatever I can which is usually smaller accessories or items as most clothes nowadays have the smart ink contraptions attached to them which is such a bummer :\

It's a compulsion for me, Whenever I go shopping I need to steal something. If I manage to go through the shops without taking anything, I go back in and take the first thing I see.

I've been caught before, and lied - got myself a written caution left the shops, went into a different shop and started stealing again.

When i was about 6 and me and my mum where in boots and i wanted this lip balm because it looked cool and she said no so when she wasnt looking i took it O.o the alarms didnt go off either :D

I never use to but when I went to highschool hanging around the wrong people we would shop lift all the time sometimes walking out of shops with more than 200 dollars worth of stuff. After I move got new friends and dont steal anymore but Its additive!!

omg me and my little sister used to do that ALL the time when we were younger, like jack toys from a store. a couple times when i did it i didnt get caught til my mom later noticed the toy. my sister stole this neck rest with hands at the end and she hid it in her jacket so she didnt get caught til later either. and a lot of times we would steal stuff together (pikachu cups, cute ghost stuffies, to name a few)

No. Someone I know shoplifted before and they got caught. Ended up with a HUGE fine and they're never allowed back in the store again. Its not worth it and I believe that only unintelligent people shoplift.

one time me and my friends dared me to take some pens from a store and i did i got caught and felt so bad cuz my mom did not know where i was and i ended up taking 68.60 cents worth of pen it was only like 13 packs of two wowowowowowowowow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few months ago I stole a Tsum Tsum type toy fox from a newsagent and when my mother (who didn't see me pocket it) and I were leaving the shop I glanced over at the cashier and she was looking at me with a mix of anger and curiosity but she didn't say anything and I walked away with my treasure and now when I look at it I remember that chick's expression and I am overcome with a huge feeling of guilt. It also scares me that I was close to getting busted too.

I remember when Furbys first came out and they said they were giving away free Furbys at the store (we lived on a military base, so we'll cal the store the PX). There was a basket full of stuffed Furbys that I think were just plushies. Then there was a pyramid of packaged electronic Furbys that did the whole talking and dancing act. The girl at the register at the time was my babysitter, and she gave me the electronic, legit Furby for free. But we later found out that the plushie Furbies were really given for free and that the electronic ones were $30. I don't know what happened to my babysitter.

the worst that i have done was still cartons of cigarettes and then i finally got busted it sucked to because i didn't know what the hell i was going to tell the cops then i had to go to court and talk to these people about what i did and why did i do it im bared from that store now now that makes it 2 stores that i have been bared from and can't go to anymore i don't do it anymore when i did start robbing people i told my friend the best way to do it is scratch the bar-code off because so it don't make the buzzer go off when your walking out the door

Yep, i've shopliftted once. I can only remember one actual time though, but i did it at least 3 times in my childhood. I was about 14 at the time, it was an aero bar or something. I got caught, and the shop guy just said get out. Haven't done it since.

Get a gift card and save up for it. Reload it or get multiple Gift Cards. You don't have to steal it.

yes and i love to steal...it gets me off..i even have had dreams about it. i havent stolen anything in a long time im really scared of getting caught. one time me and my friend stole 1000 worth of clothes and jewelry from the mall. i remember my friend just grabbing like 10 necklaces and putting them in her bag, people all around, we didnt even get caught. i stole a pair of sandals awhile ago and they are in a shoebox up in my closet waiting for the perfect moment for me to wear them. the fact that i know ill be wearing stolen sandals just gets me off for some reason

I was once with a friend who shoplifted a pair of earrings. She said she did it all the time and was totally cool and casual as she strolled out the store but I looked like I was about the sh*t myself.
And I felt like the shopkeepers knew and were thinking I was a criminal the next time I went there. I couldn't get out of there quicker =P

ALL THE DAMN TIME!!!! My first item I stole was measuring cups (I was 4) and my mom drove all the way back to the store and made me apologize for my actions and put the measuring cups back.

My mother was a kleptomaniac, and my dad said she actually got sexually excited from shop-lifting. So I sort of followed in her footsteps when I was younger. I used to love to steal books, especially porn, though I do not remember any sexual excitement there from. It was exciting, the fear of possibly getting caught. And I was actually caught once, by a guy in a drugstore, but he just told me not to come back, fortunately. After that, I pretty-well gave it up. Too risky! My wife says as a young girl she used to scarf candy when she went shopping with her mom. I have not taken the chance of shop-lifting in many, many years now. Probably never do it again, since everything has all the little magnetic tags on them which set off alarms. There are ways to beat those, but I lack the initiative to give it a try.

I'm scared to now though because awhile ago i went with my boyfriend to walmart and was gonna take a bunch of hair products (so damn expensve) and my friend that was with us saw these 2 dudes following us. Another friend that I saw at the store informed me that it was security. I ditched the hair prodcuts and left the store. They were hard to ditch with that guy following me though.

I shoplifted when i was 11 with my best friend we would steal monsters read bull any energy drink this was at wal-mart and then after we drank them we would go get grahm cracker tteddy bears just to be retarded it wasn't really a rush we just loved to se if the wal-mart cops would notice well ......one day they did and we almoast got caught but we didn't it was the first time he saw me cry nd it was very embarrasing so my word to you dont do it cause it may be funny as shit then but as soon as youu get caught just watch how fast your friends will run away

I once went to get this DOPE dank weed from a special dealer so i took a whole bag for $200 but didnt pay yet so my dealer was like lets smoke a joint.. i was like yeah sure why not.. then we were smoking.. i didn't even want to shoplift.. then i forgot to pay and left.. and then i was like.. WHAT THE FUCK? O_O.. Then i was like uhh whatever man finders keepers xD

One time I shoplifted a Twinkie and I got caught. And the owner followed me and told me not to go to his store again.

AKA I manage to aquire pencils pens eracers because i'll end up using it then taking it with me.AKA im the reason no-one ever has a pen/pencil when they need it. well once when i was 12, me and one of my friends got caught shoplifting, and the mall cop came and told me to call my mom, and she was so pissed at me. that was the last time i EVER shoplifted. and yes, me and that friend are still friends:)

i was on holiday in Bondi (i live in manly, an hours drive away) i accidentally stole a packet of breathmints i didnt even want -i tripped and bumped the shelf and all this crap fell down. i didnt notice until i got home. i dont even like mint

My sister and I were at walmart getting stuff and she told me to put the toothpaste back but I was paying attention to something else. So I just walked out of walmart with a free thing of toothpaste! We were laughing about it. haha so dumb I know.

Every time at party city, dollar tree, card stores, oh every where really, the most HILLARIOUS way I ever did it was to toss a product through a hole in the roof of a building with my friend to catch it on the other side, haha good times.

I shoplift alot. It started years ago when I was about 7 or 8, and I stole a stuffed animal from walmart. I don't think it's really a bad thing, as long as you don't get caught. I don't feel guilty because it's not like you're stealing from a person. You're stealing from a store, which probably has way more money then they need and they wouldn't miss that one thing you shoplifted. I usually just shoplift shirts and undergarments because they're so easy :3
