It never occurred to me that someone wouldn't at least try some drugs until I was in my late 20s. I don't really know why. Maybe it was just the company I used to keep.
Most people I knew used drugs. I grew up and came of age in that sort of place. Once I got older and started my career, I started mixing with a bigger variety of people. That's when i realised that there are people out there who didn't grow up around drugs and have never even thought about trying them.
I think the people who use drugs are often the sort who think everyone does it, and the people who don't use drugs are the sort who think that nobody does it except very bad people. They seem to exist in different worlds.
I've never been a fan of substance abuse, and I want you to know that cannabis is an herb, not a drug. Marijuana should be legal!
In the ‘60’s and ‘70’s you were a weirdo if you didn’t blow weed. I wouldn’t touch it now, especially because it’s much stronger than it was then.
No but I did get a contact high once when I was in the same room (which was shut tight: towel under the door, windows locked & covered up) with my brothers & their friends for about 11 hours. It didn't make me happy or calm, It made me angry & I don't know why.
The first time I smoked it was because it was still a "Gateway" drug, and everyone went on about how bad/dangerous it was. But, being I watched movies like Friday, Cheech and Chong, I was curious. I smoked on, and off, for 17 year's after that. Occasionally I'll smoke some now.
Only very rarely i never got into it , but im thinking about hotboxing with 2 black animals at the weekened.
No one I know smoked it when I was growing up so I missed out but I do want to try it
Yes. I laughed uncontrollably, my mouth dried (well, it felt dry), I lost track of time, and yes, I got the munchies.
Why? Sheer curiosity.
I had too many gummies and proceeded to watch 2001: Space Odyssey. Big bad Idea.
Backtracking here, I do not know the MG i took ( but it was too much for me to handle) 30 min after my third round of gummies (in a period of 1.5 hrs) I had intense vertigo. I had already seen the movie, so I laid on the couch with my bf’s family, and “listened” to the movie. Every time there was music, I felt the sound waves vibrate through my whole body. I literally could feel the music and visualize the soundwaves in my darkened field of vision as my eyes were closed the whole time. It was something else! After that I swore against gummies and weed as a whole (but yall can continue to smoke/eat as you please)
i dont care what anyone says that movie is just terrible
kubrick did some great stuff but that wasnt one of em
the shining
dr strangelove
full metal jacket
a clockwork orange
those are movies
theyre poignant and fantastic ones
2001 was not only a ridiculous year in history and also in my life but the movie was hilariously off target far as predictin how the future goes
id believe it more if hal was tryin to sell me an extended warranty on my mattress
Contrary to popular belief i've never touched the stuff, i'm just naturally awesome and trippy
Even though it was back in the seventies, I remember my first pot high clearly.
I was seventeen, and it was at a Seventh Day Adventist camp meeting. (That camp meeting was also memorable for me because it was the first time I messed around with a nekkid girl - but I digress...)
I didn't really enjoy it. One of my clearest memories of the experience was hearing Argent's 'Hold Your Head Up' on the radio and really, really disliking the incessant drumbeat and how the swirly organ bit in the middle seemed to fucking go on _forever_.
I smoked pot a few more times after that, but the effect then was limited to making me feel lightheaded and then fall asleep. I've known people who are regular users and as far as I'm concerned, that's fine. But it just doesn't do anything wonderful for me.
These days, I'd be very reluctant to try it again. What I had in the past was herbal grass, but my understanding is that a lot of what's available now (in the UK, anyway, where it remains illegal) could be dosed with synthetic cannabinoids, and that shit should be avoided.
I just really haven't had the chance to. I don't want to, but I wouldn't turn it down. I just live in an area where it's difficult to obtain.
