I had it. I honest to God thought it was a cold, didn't know untill about 3 weeks later when I had to have my blood drawn and they told me I haven't had a physical in about 2 years and asked me if I wanted it and I said yes. Had me do everything (get my blood drawn, spit in a tube, piss in a cup, swab my nose, check my lungs/my heart/my blood pressure) then a day later they call me asking me why I lied about not having covid.
Me:I didn't.
Doc:Then why do you have covid antibodies?
Me:I don't know.
Doc:Have you been sick in the past few months?
Me:I had the flu a few weeks ago.
Doc:I don't think that was the flu sir.
Me:Then I guess I had covid, so what, sue me (Hang up).
Yeah. No fucking clue why a mild cold warranted devastating everyone's mental health and ruining most economies
I haven't yet, but considering this might become normal were all going to eventually catch it.
Anti-maskers are insanely stupid. There's nothing "heroic" or "patriotic" about refusing to temporarily put on a mask to put those around you at ease
You know what's infinitely more stupid than anti-maskers? Fucking shutting down the entire goddamn world because people might get a slightly-more-severe-than-average cold. My uncle's business went under and now he and almost all of his original employees are out of work. But thank god none of them got the sniffles! I'm sure that, given the chance again, every single one of them would gladly trade job stability and the bulk of their savings for a slightly increased chance that they won't have a cold for a week or two
Why? Some people legitimately cant wear masks. Me? I find them annoying. I would understand more If covid had a 10% kill rate. But since it's less than 0.1 for my age I'll take my chances.
Grandma killer? Sure everyone is going to get covid anyway said this from the onset of covid. People will die, it's a plague. The whole point was slow the spread not to end covid. Vaccines wont even stop it. The virus will eventually figure out that not killing people = more hosts.
I'm curious as to why some people can't legitimately wear masks? Either way, masks help reduce the spread. Is it too much to ask for people to be courteous and help reduce the spread?
Now, if masks don't in fact work, then I'd be more open to peoples' choices not to wear them.
My girlfriend has asthma, when she wears one she feels like shes restricted in breathing.
I don't wear one because I know I will survive covid. If I get covid I simply stockpile supplies and dont go out until I'm not sick anymore, wearing a mask if I go out in public.
I'm not wearing a mask if I'm not sick. Natural immunity is just as good.
I appreciate you keeping to yourself if you have COVID.
Masks help reduce the spread, so by not wearing one- not you personally, but other people- the person is saying that their freedom is more important than the well-being of others. As for your girlfriend, she's an example of someone with a legit reason not to wear one.
My disgust is that most anti-maskers are Republicans, and THAT is their reason for not doing so.
I'm anti mask and mandates I'm pro personal responsibility. If you are sick where a mask if you are not sick I'm against forcing people to. I've been vaccinated and had covid. I see literally no point in shutting down the economy to save only a few thousand lives at the cost of millions of other peoples financial and mental lives.
I dont find this to be true. Blacks are the largest "anti vax" and "anti mask" group and they're not right wing. If you go into the city of Nashville you will not see anyone wearing a mask and its a blue city. It crosses all political lines. People are just over it now and almost everyone has either had covid or is vaccinated or both. It surprises me that people still wear masks where youre from.
Nope.
My immune system is pretty good and I am an introvert, I always avoid unnecessary human interactions. I started taking vitamin C everyday after a terrible flu in 2018, and started taking vitamin D as well in 2020, and I havent even had a cold since.
Definitely no flus since 2018, and I would always get flus before... Vitamins are great.
I haven't been tested and haven't shown any symptoms. For all I know, I could've had it and been asymptomatic, but as far as I know, I haven't had it. I get my temperature checked every day at work and it's always been normal.
