Having second thoughts about college...

I always, since I was 12, had an interest in interior design. I would watch HGTV all night and just be amazed by it. & in three more weeks I will be enrolled into an art school for interior design but...

I always had a thing for fashion. I love fashion so much, I breath it. I feel as if fashion is a way of talking without even saying a word. I design clothes and make them, {especially for my friends a lot} and last night while I was designing some jeans..

I thought if just maybe im about to go to school for the wrong thing?

It's normal to have second thoughts, but at least get your Associate degree (can get one after two years or so) so that way you have something to fall back to in case if all else fails.

I heard it was really difficult to go back to college though or to go to college later. Usually people change their lifetime job about 6 times (I remember hearing this a long time ago) and for the most part it's true. And if that happens to you, it's best to be at least a little prepared for it.

To be honest, the only reason I'm in college is because I don't know what I want to do. I'm hoping that taking classes and talking to teachers would help me find my path.

Perfectly normal to have second thoughts. It is a big step in life you're taking, a big decision to specialize in something that might shape the rest of your life.
But what exactly was the nature of these thoughts? Did you worry that you wouldn't know what to do after college, or that maybe the degree was useless?
Because it sounds like Interior Design is really your thing. You seem to love it, and if that's not a good reason to pursue an education/career in it, I don't know what is.

And if the second thoughts continue, know that this decision isn't final, and you can always change your degree or go back to college or branch out into something else, you never know what could happen! You have an entire lifetime to discover new things and do what you love, it doesn't matter how many times you change!

id say follow your passion! It would be better to have a job that fulfills u, even if that meant making less money than a job that is unhealthy for ur soul.
