He acts like he's into me but then doesn't text me

He'll say you're the best woman I've ever met, he'll buy me thoughtful gifts, he'll say I can't wait to see you and acts into me when we hang out and yet he doesn't text me for half the day. No good morning, no texts until around 1-3pm his time doesn't matter if he's at work or when he's off, he just doesn't text me until later. I feel like if he's actually into me he would wake up and reply to my texts or at least read them but he doesn't until much later. I always wondered if this is normal for a guy to do this and no he's not seeing anyone else because his sister is my best friend so I know he only talks about me and only sees me

Is it normal for a guy to act extremely into you but never or rarely ever text to in the morning or up until 1 or 2? I know he's a morning person so he's awake by 7 or 8 am

    Maybe he's busy?? At least he texts you everyday, why expect a morning text unless you're dating? Chill a bit or ask him what he's up to.

      I feel shitty when I dont text my gf. She understands that I'm not on my phone 24/7, even when im on my phone I get distracted by a new curiosity.

      Hes probably not intentionally ignoring you. If you got a problem speak up. If you are not conforming or understanding of his reasonings that's on you to weigh the benefits of dumping him or staying with him.

    Half a day also doesn't seem long, for me that would be normal. When I go to sleep I put my cell phone on airplane mode in order not to be woken up, and I think I would still do if I was dating. Also sometimes youre occupied with other things. And I almost feel sorry for people who are on their phone 24/7 and cant relax

      I'm just not used to this. All the guys I've dated wrote me good morning texts lol and then wrote me in the afternoon he mostly writes me in the evening and he doesn't even text me much so I feel like we aren't staying in touch as much as a normal couple especially since we barely see each other in person atm so the only way we keep in touch is by texts

    Yeah I'm at least consistent about my absences and not applying a double standard to the person I'm texting.
