Hearing ppl online talk about masks

I hear people online talk about masks, saying things like "shouldn't yall be wearing a mask?" and it is just weird to me because no one in my side of the USA wears a mask and hasnt since maybe May of 2020.

It no longer matters your political views here I know very left leaning people and none of them wear a mask. I almost forget covid is still a thing until I hear about it online.

    Your side is probably the less intelligent side of the US. Masks should be mandatory everywhere.

    Whats funny to me is I truly believe if they lived on this side of the US give them a week and they'd be walking around without a mask.

    And to say "the less intelligent side of the US" is funny because there's prestigious universities and nasa and idk if shes supposedly smarter than them or not because they dont wear them either.

    I noticed that quite a bit here in the midwest as well. My workplace has pretty much stopped enforcing mask mandates and the majority of people I know don't bother wearing them anymore. Some strangers have even made weird comments at me for choosing to still wear a mask in public

    You are a lucky fellow then.

    You got Australia going full authoritarian with Austria. Germany going back to its roots and china still being china.

    For the americans its divided between people who want to go back to normal and those who still think covid is the black death.

    It's still a thing here, albeit in much smaller quantities. I would imagine it's the same for most large cities.

    PS: Keep in mind that cities with huge populations will have many internet users who aren't used to small town living.
