I think that heaven and hell are just myths, they're just made up. I just think that we die, and that's it, no heaven OR hell. is it normal to think this?

GOD IS VERY REAL! Heaven and Hell are not just made up concepts to scare people. I know for a fact GOD is real and so is the devil. I love GOD with everything inside of me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I know without a doubt that GOD is real. I feel his presence around me constantly and even had an extraordinary experience one night where HIS spirit came to me in my bedroom. HE embraced me and it was the most peaceful, extraordinary thing I could experience. I wish everyone could experience it also. People will believe what they want to, but I truly hope an pray that all the atheists on this site will come to HIM and know that HE IS REAL. HIS hand is out there you just have to reach out for it my dear.

Before you spout out the same annoying bullshit everyone else like you says, go out into the world and come bck with some hard proven evidence. Until then shut up about feeling his presence because that shit isn't proof, it could have been anything at all.
I've seen ghosts, I've experienced lucid dreams and out of body experiences and I've seen some very questionable stuff that makes me doubt all kinds of stuff but i'm smart enough to not try and bullshit people into my own beliefs.
All I ever hear from Christians is how they've felt god, they've sensed god and how their lives improved thanks to god. Well guess what? That worked for you but not everyone is so easily guided by blind faith.
And i know your comment is over a year old but i'm sick of people who act like you and treat god like a cure for fucking everything. Some atheists might find that their lives improve by believing in some all powerful being but I can assure you mind wont.
I was raised in a catholic environment and all I ever had was the bible crammed down my throat. I'd rather piss on the pages of that book than believe and if it all turns out to be real i'm going to enjoy hell. I'll bloody love it because i know that the very existence of hell disproves god and it in itself is a paradox.

Death is a very scary thing for all of us to face. But as a believer in JESUS CHRIST, I KNOW in my heart that there is life after death. I have even seen the spirits of loved ones after thy have died smiling and dressed in all white. I think believers go to a place called paradise which is where GOD lives. Sadly there is also a place that is not as nice as paradise called Hell. It is in the bible and that book is very real. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but in my heart I know GOD is real and so is HIS kingdom.

Let me say what I think in a different way, heaven and hell are only to scare us, our souls have to go somewhere, I know that.

In Paradise,no one has to put efforts and no one gets tired.One gets bliss without efforts and forever.There are water-streams below the Paradise and they shall live their forever who obey the God. The lucky ones shall live in Paradise till sky and earth remain.But as we saw in Judgment Day, the sky and earth have already been destroyed. Thus either this is a blatant contradiction or a subtle hint that all these hoax of Paradise is hoax indeed! Also when enjoyment is forever, what was the point of GOD doubling the rewards? Perhaps Prophet did not know maths. There are gardens, dry fruits, drinks and beautiful boys with drooping eyes. What about excretory system of body. With so much food and drink, how will that be ejaculated from system? And without efforts, why should it not lead to diseases? If someone says that there would be no urine and shit in Paradise, then will the wine evaporate after touching the tongue? Can one explain the mechanism. What about women? What will they enjoy? Will they remain virgin or will be married? Will they marry their old husbands or new ones? What if their old husbands went to Hell? What will be age of people in Paradise? What about those who died in wombs?
I'm a Muslim and I believe in God, Heaven and Hell and I can tell you're doing a really, really bad job trying to convince anyone Heaven exists. You're honestly not helping at all.

Its Levels
Hell has various levels of heat and punishment, each is reserved according to the extent of their disbelief and sins of those being punished. God says:
“Surely, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths (grade) of the Fire.”
The lower the level of Hell, the greater is the intensity of heat. Since the hypocrites will suffer the worst punishment, so will they be in the lowest part of Hell.
The Gates of Hell
“And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. It has seven gates, for each of these gates is a class of sinners assigned.”
Each gate has an allotted share of the damned who will enter through it. Each will enter according to his deeds and assigned a level of Hell accordingly. When the unbelievers are brought to Hell, its gates will open, they will enter it, and stay in it forever:
“And those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it, its gates are opened and its keepers will say, ‘Did there not come to you messengers from yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?’ They will say, ‘Yes, but the word (meaning the decree) of punishment has come into effect upon the disbelievers.’”
They will be told after admission:
“Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant.”
The gates will be shut and there will be no hope of escape as God says:
“But those who reject Our signs, they are the companions of the left hand. On them will be Fire vaulted over (meaning the gates will be locked).[7]”
“Woe to every scorner and mocker, who collects wealth and (continuously) counts it. He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. And what can make you know what is the Crushers? It is the fire of God, (eternally) fueled, Which mounts directed at the hearts. Indeed, it (Hellfire) will be closed down upon them in extended columns.”
Its Fuel
Stones and stubborn unbelievers make the fuel of Hell as God says:
“O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones...”
Another source of fuel for Hell will be the pagan gods that were worshipped besides God:
“Indeed, you (disbelievers) and what you worship other than God are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to (enter) it. Had these (false deities) been (actual) gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein.”
The Clothing of its Inhabitants
God tells us that the dress of the people of Hell will be garments of fire tailored for them:
“…But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding water.”
“And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles, their garments of liquid pitch (melted copper) and their faces covered by the Fire.”
Get a life. Religion is a concept created by humans. Are people really un-aware that there are religions created before Christianity? Or are you that stupid to believe that it's the only 'real' one? Wtf man, think about it.

Hell is huge and immensely deep. We know this through several ways.
First, innumerable people will enter Hell, each, as described in a hadeeth, with the molar teeth as large as Uhud (a mountain in Medina)[1] The distance between the shoulders of its inhabitants has also been described as being equivalent to three days of walking.[2] Hell will house all the unbelievers and sinners from the beginning of time and there will still be room for more. God says:
“On the Day when We will say to Hell: ‘Are you filled?’ It will say, ‘Are there any more (to come)?’”
The Fire of Hell is likened to a mill that grinds thousands and thousands of tons of grain and then waits for more to come.
Second, a stone thrown from the top of Hell will take a very long time to reach the bottom. One of the companions of the Prophet, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, describes how they were sitting with the Prophet and heard the sound of something falling. The Prophet inquired if they knew what it was. When they expressed their lack of knowledge, he said:
“That was a stone thrown into Hell seventy years ago and it is yet in the way (the other side) of Hell until now.
Another report states:
“If a stone as big as seven pregnant camels was thrown from the edge of Hell, it would fly through it for seventy years, and yet it would not reach the bottom.”[4]
Third, a great many angels will bring Hell on the Day of Resurrection. God speaks of it:
“And Hell will be brought near that Day…”
“Hell will be brought forth that Day by means of seventy thousand ropes, each of which will be held by seventy thousand angels.
I don't believe in them, because for me it is a choice between something in a book versus my own personal common sense. I see no reason that heaven/hell must exist, because I have to evidence, and I feel that it is more likely that they do not exist because they do not make scientific sense. Therefore I don't believe in heaven, hell, God/s or anything else supernatural.
Furthurmore, I don't have the need to believe in afterlife. I'm as scared of death as the next man, but belief in an afterlife wouldn't help me.
And as for everyone here, using verses from the Quran or the Bible to convince those who don't believe in heaven and hell that they do exist, your efforts are in vain. Those who don't believe in heaven and hell don't believe in God and they don't care about the holy books. You want to convince them, use common sense.
I think it's very depressing to not believe in heaven and hell. I'd hate believing that all my life was for nothing and all the good I did won't be rewarded and the people who did me wrong won't be punished. I would hate knowing that millions of people stole, murdered and raped and got away with it during their life on earth and there is no hell for them to be thrown into. Also, if after all those years of living we just die and the world ends and nothing happens after that, then why even bother living? Why go through all of the shit that comes with being alive if it's all for nothing?
Heaven and Hell are figments made up by the catholic church to control adherents. if by going to church people went somewhere good when they died they would want to keep going, but if they didn't go to church they would burn in hell thus if wanting to not burn in hell they would have to continue to go to church.

Religion is so continuously disputed that you shouldn't expect a straight answer on this one. I believe that there may be something bigger than us out there... but I doubt there's any way for us to be able to describe it. Thus any earthly defined religions are ridiculous because how on earth can one possibly describe our creator? The bible was written by humans and belongs in the fiction section. Death is a mystery that can only be solved by dying. End of story.
They are nineteen keepers of Hell as God says:
“Soon I will cast him into Hell Fire. And what will explain to you what is Hellfire? Nothing does it allow to endure, and nothing does it leave alone! Darkening and changing the color of man! Over it are nineteen (angels as keepers of Hell).”
One should not think that the inhabitants of Hell will be able to overcome the keepers of Hell because there are just nineteen of them. Everyone of them has the strength to subdue all humanity by himself. These angels are called the Guards of Hell by God
“And those in the Fire will say to the Guards of Hell, ‘Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day!’”
The name of the chief angel guarding over Hell is Malik, as mentioned
“Surely, the disbelievers will be in the torment of Hell to abide therein forever. (The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein. We wronged them not, but they were the wrongdoers. And they will cry: ‘O Malik! Let your Lord make an end of us’ He will say: ‘Surely, you shall abide forever.’ Indeed We have brought the truth to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth”
“And whosoever disobeys God and His Messenger, then surely, for him is the fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever.”
“Surely, God has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire wherein they will abide for ever.”
Surely, those who disbelieve and did wrong; God will not forgive them, nor will He guide them to any way except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever.
“They will long to leave the Fire, but never will they leave there from; and theirs will be a lasting torment.”
Surely, the soul of a believer is a bird hanging on the trees of Paradise, until God returns it to his body on the Day of Resurrection.
“When any of you dies, he is shown his position (in the Hereafter) morning and evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise, he is shown the place of the people of Paradise. If he is one of the people of Hell, he is shown the place of people of Hell. He is told, ‘this is your position, until God resurrects you on the Day of Resurrection.”
Hell exists at the present time and will continue to exist forever. It will never die down, and its inhabitants will remain in it forever. No one will come out of Hell except sinful believers who believed in the Oneness of God in this life.

As for that stuff from that book, I get pissed off when I think about it. It's like if that God wants to send about 3/4 of us to hell and he calls himself good. I'm sorry but there is more than 1/4 of the population that deserves better than eternal torture.
