Help! my cat has eye poops

Bonjour tout le monde! I am having a trouble with my calico cat. It's about her eyes. She always has an eye poops. I don't know what it is called in English so I am going to go with eye poops. I wish you understand what I meant. She doesn't have any disease but her eyes frequently produced eye poops. They are dry, gladly. How do I stop her eyes from producing eye poops often? Every cats in the videos that I have seen never have any eye poops beneath their eyes. There must be something wrong with her and those things make her face look messed up. If you have experience about this, do tell me how to get rid of these eye poops from my cat. There are some french words I write but do reply on English so I can learn it to get better. Merci et bonne nuit!

They're just eye boogers, like the eye boogers we get except they're reddish brown in color. Wipe them off with a Kleenex everyday. It's no big deal, get over it. I clean my cat's eye boogers off everyday, again no big deal.

    • Merci. So it is normally called eye boogers. May I know what is this Kleenex? Is it wrong to wipe them with my finger instead?

The tissues you use to blow you nose. Kleenex are like disposable handkerchiefs.

I think humans get them too. When I wake up in the morning, I also have white things in the corner of my eyes and I just remove them with my finger. But it might be more difficult to remove it for a cat, because your cat may not understand what you are doing. So there is a risk that you can get your finger in his eye by accident, just be careful.

  • They are often from allergies.

    • We only give her boiled fish and chicken. Cat foods too. No salt, no oil and no additional flavors at all.

      • Not all allergies are from foods. Cats can get seasonal allergies too.

Eye "poops" should not be a big deal. It's just billy sleep. My cat gets them all the time and is as healthy as can be. Some cats get them and some don't. My other cat rarely gets them. If you think there's too much and too often, try a vet.
