Helping worms

On rainy days when worms slither on the wet sidewalks I go out of my way to not step on them. Also on days when the sun is out, and I see a worm on the sidewalk I pick it up and place it in the grass. IIN?

The worms are in the soil plotting their revenge on humanity and you help them?!!

I hate worms, and I do this too. I pick them up with a stick because drying up on the sidewalk seems like a painful way to go.

Very kind of you. I've done this with spiders, bees and other critters that have gotten trapped inside my home.

Yup, but worms especially, they are really important to the soil. Without them and the interactions they have with the microbes in the soil no plants would grow

What's next? Saving ants from anteaters by whacking them with a rolled up newspaper? How long do worms live anyway?!

    • Well would you like to die from slowing burning to death on a sidewalk? Oh and also a worms life span is 4-8 years

I do this too! I thought I was weird, thank you for reassuring me I am not the only worm saver.

i do this too, and if a fly lands in my drink, as peeved at it as i am, i always get it out and put it on something material so it dries off quick.

I remove the living flies from webs. If they're dead, I'll give it to the spider.

I've helped a few insects every now and then. Even cockroaches. Of course, I always use some paper or something rather than touch them.

Then after you save them a bird comes an eats them.

When I saw worms I'd just throw them to my chickens.

I help worms in the garden then I go fishing and shove massive hooks up there cornholes, so it all balances out I guess.
