Ever since I was small I have always love horror movies. None of my family members like them (except my brother I got him into it). My friends think it's creepy and my boyfriend thinks that I'm opening my doors to the devil and that theirs a possibility that I might turn into a psychopath. Don't get me wrong I don't really care what they think and I actually find funny that they think that sort of stuff and I don't really believe in the devil and whatnot but I always wondered if its normal?

Sidenot: I listing to metal, most of my wardrobe is black, purple,gray..maybe that's one of the reasons? xD
I also watch true blood and series like that but I also watch anime and kids shows...beside that most of other genre bores me... I can stand action,fiction, and rarely comedy.

    Its perfectly normal. I have far more horror movies than anything else. Of course I come from a family that loves halloween, has all types of skulls and shit all over the house, created a clock that counts down the days to halloween, builds their own torture devices to put out in the front yard for halloween, and throws a massive halloween party every year. The parties are always awesome, especially since both are licensed bartenders.

    I love Beneath and The Conjuring! Best horror movies ever. I've also always watched horror movies, I watched the excorsist when I was 6. I've never really found them as disturbing or scary as other people, probably because I've been watching them size early childhood. I also listen to metal, wear black clothes, have had my hair dyed black since I was 12 and love piercings, tattoos, and anything gory (movies, bands with gory lyrics, mottla art, etc) so I understand where you're coming from. I'm guessing your boyfriend isn't the same, or he wouldn't be saying things like you're opening your doors to the devil? That one made me lol.

    I don't have many in my PC and I can't really remember the names but I have some dumb ones you might enjoy Feast (1-2-3), Descent(one and two), Beneath, The Conjuring, Hammerhead, Tamara and Nightmare On Elm Street. I hope you enjoy them!

    Horror movies wouldn't exist if there wasn't a market for them. There are many successful horror movies that get screened at cinemas all over the world.

    So obviously it's normal to like them.

    I don't really get the question, is horror normal?

    Of course, from fun little 80's throwback horror films like house of the devil and slasher films to intelligent horror like eraserhead and don't look now, horror can be so many things excluding the very odd exception all of them are totally normal to enjoy, unfortunatly you have to sift through a lot of the shit though
