Is it normal to sign up to do research for a professor because you have the hots for the professor not because you're interested in their research?

I'm planning to transfer to a different school soon. I'm looking forward to gaining new experience from working in the professor's lab, but mainly I have a crush on the hot professor.

    I don't plan on anything happening really. I just think they're hot. Maybe, something will happen later, but I don't think anything will happen while I'm helping with the research. Just hoping to stay in touch

      They may not have a significant other. I'm pretty sure they're single. If not, I have plenty of other people waiting in line.
