I’m a young American woman who’s always lived in the U.S., and I’ve received a number of unsolicited dick pics online from guys I don’t know.
Is this mostly just an American guy behavior or is it equally common for guys from other countries do this when they’re online?
I think it's rare that guys do it because they think girls will respond the same way they would to boob pics or something. I also think they're rarely so disillusioned that they think they have a particularly impressive dick.
They do it because having sent it in the first place is what gets them off. They're the same people who flash in public and have public masturbation fantasies.

Most do that because they're bored and most don't know the repercussions. They're also worse because its considered harassment for e.g. my partner she keeps getting dick pics from people she doesn't know and it gets to a point that she constantly blocks them. It is somewhat common but disgusting not just American people who do it. If you do see someone sending a dick pic you should block them because I deem that as harassment. It is even more disgusting when a dude sends one to minors just as when they send one to someone their age. It is common for non American people to do that as well, the most who do that are actual creeps regardless of their motives/intents.
As someone who has been sent unwanted pics of hairy vaginas, tiny dicks, saggy tits, and assholes: it happens from anyone in any country. It's disgusting and makes me think that this person has nothing to show for their life.
It's a disgusting behavior, and I mostly just hope the guy will get into an accident, and injure himself whenever that has happened in the past. Seriously, guys that send those are pices of shit!
I believe that its more common among certain cultures, and rare among others. This is based off of a number of Ladies that I at least casually dated from different parts of the world, and what they told me about the messages they got.

Most men are normal, sane people, but there are always a few lurking around that think if every woman in the world would only get the chance to see a picture of his wonderful dick, they will instantly be overcome with raw animal instinct and want to rip his clothes off and fuck his brains out. I have not had any guys sext me but given how unified (read 'westernized') counties' cultures have become in recent years I wouldn't be surprised if it happens elsewhere other than the Islamic world. Also how common it occurrs depends on the population's average dick size. There's no point for small-cock losers (like in East Asia) to show around the reason to be rejected.
