How dangerous could this have been?
TL;dr - Had a friend who was phasing in and out from alcohol, was this a situation that could have been dangerous?
I know this is not a regular is it normal question but I want to know someone else's opinion.
Last year I went to the finalist's prom. There was a friend of mine that started to drink local brewed wine before the food came. After dinner he was already pretty drunk and most of our friends too, so it looked normal.
After desert, me and my friends had to drag him outside, sit him next to a bin, and make him throw up. At that point he was barely conscious and was phasing in and out. Thankfully some of my friends "had experience with this": they made him eat bread, forced him to vomit, slapping all the time so he wouldn't pass out and putting sugar under his tongue for some "quick energy". I could sense the panic starting to build up as it became more difficult to keep him awake, to the point we were darn close to calling an ambulance. Thankfully, he wasn't throwing up anymore stuff, so we let him sleep while we surveilled him. He would randomly wake up, dance with his head to the current tune, then sleep again. After around 2 hours he suddenly could talk, and looked lively awake. Like nothing f*king happened.
How dangerous could this have been? Thia situation already made me scared of alcohol, but I want to know if that qualified as a coma or a live-or-die situation we avoided. AFAIK he drank around 8-11 glasses of wine in quick sucession.
