Hey guys so I was wondering since I found an 1800's miller smokeless oil heater, what kind of oil should I use and how do I use the heater once it's oiled? Any of you antique addicts out there can you help a fellow collector out? I really want to fire it up but I haven't ever used an oil heater before. I was thinking kerosene would work but idk. Please help.

I was going to copy and paste all the duplicate stories from the archive but there are SO MANY I honestly couldn't be bothered.

Well no worrys a little trial and error did it , I found that it has a circular wick that is inside it that when you twist the knob you can make it come out. So I put oil in it and fired it right up. I'm using it now as a matter of fact.
