How do people with long hair not get sweaty necks?

I am currently trying to grow my hair out and it's shoulder- length right now but my only problem is that I have to have my hair up most of the time because when I wear it down, the back of my neck gets hot and sweats.

How do people with actual long hair deal with that so easily?!

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I don’t think my neck really sweats, it’s all on my back and armpits. If you have very thick hair and live in a hot country that probably doesn’t help.

Some people sweat far less than others. For instance, my back and forehead will be drenched in sweat but the rest of my body will be relatively dry.

I dont sweat on my neck when I have long hair but it gets hot and very uncomfortable. Most people with long hair wears it in a ponytail or a bun during hot days.

My hair has grown past my butt, and sometimes I wanna get the clippers, and give myself a buzz cut.

I don't think I remember sweating on my neck much. I wear my hair in a ponytail for work, exercise, and typically when it is very hot out as well.
