How do you feel about ai?

I'm curious as to how people feel towards the topic of AI. I feel there are ways it can go wrong and I feel we have already became so advanced with technology, but obviously there's people who feel differently towards it,who feel they need better and faster technology and there may always be that demand. I'm curious as to how others feel towards this, as scientist gradually make the progress to invent new more advanced technology and how do you all feel towards the possibility of robots/machinery taking over?

    Most modern technology would be destroyed if people knew what was good for them.

    I saw a program on Netflix about artificial intelligence where the androids had emotions, and this guy was really rude, mean and disrespectful to a prostitute android. I shouted, "break his neck", at the television, and then the android actually broke the guy's neck which was quite lovely in my opinion. I don't remember the name of the show, but he had it coming.

    Okay, it took me some time to search, but the show was called Humans, and the part I mentioned happened on the second episode.

    Until we have a better understanding of the origin of consciousness and/or self-awareness, we will have to accept any AI capable of passing the Turing test as a self-aware being. After all, we each individually have roughly the same amount of evidence that other humans are self-aware.

    It is most likely that humanity will gradually merge with AI as it is developed. In many ways technology is already an extension of humankind. Even if we do not, it is exceedingly unlikely that AI will become outright malevolent toward humans even if it supersedes us.

    If for whatever reason a sufficiently advanced, self-aware AI does decide that humans need to go, so be it. With a vastly superior mind, it will most likely have the most logical opinion regarding this matter between humankind and itself, and humans might be a little biased.
