How do you feel about google glass?

For those who don't know, Google Glass is a wearable computer set for release later this year. I have quite strong opinions against the product, but I'm interested in yours. Is this a product you would buy? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.

Please click on this link to see a short video about the product and what it does.

I'm instinctively wary of it. It doesn't sound like something society needs, honestly. We already have a huge amount of commercial technology available to us. I don't understand what Google Glass could contribute to make my life happier (or anyone else's, really).

I like typing on keyboards. I don't want to have to talk to my computer like it's a real person, because it's not a real person. It's a computer.

I like a good gadget, but wearing a computer on your face seems a bit extreme. I think there are many other things that need cool tech more than glasses.
Also, I'd look like a dork with google glasses.

I'll stick to my Galaxy S3 phone. Excellent in everything I need it to do.

Also, if teenagers start using google glass while driving... They'd be even worse drivers!

My fear is that it will cause greater distractions than cell phones do.

We already have too many people dying behind the wheel from texting and driving. I already deal with too many people bumping into me and mowing others down because they are on the phone and walking. We even have pedestrians getting hit because they are looking at their phones and walking out into the street without looking both ways. I'm afraid that these glasses will just be another wild-card thrown in to distract people and cause them to make more mistakes.

I am all for technological advancement and surely there are industries and situations where Google Glass, as a hands free device, can help a person accomplish a task or make their lives easier, but I see it posing so much inconvenience for others that I have mixed feelings about it.

I think its ridiculous. I'm not into technological gadgetry at all. My phone is more than enough for me, and even that seem like too much at times.

Right now it's too expensive and the software isn't that great. I think if the idea is more refined and the technology develops some more I would consider it. My brother actually did buy one recently though. He seems to like it.

I do like gadgets, but at the moment it's way over priced. Plus I don't particularly want to be tracked everywhere I go by Google. If both of those concerns were addressed I'd consider it.
