How large is your group of close friends?

How the hell can someone possible have more than 6 *good* friends.

Yes, more than 7 is usually false.
Notice the question says "close friends". Not "friends". Not coworkers. Not people you know.

I don't consider myself to have very many good friends, but I do consider myself fortunate for the friends I do have

Im confused. How lax is everyone's definition of 'close friend'? A regular friend is someone I trust. A close friend is someone I would sacrifice my life to protect. I can't understand how anyone could possibly have more than six.

i have about 7 and 8 close friends, some my childhood friends and other from my high school but yeah theres like four i tell stuff directly to or are a bit closer too ^^

I used to be friends with a group of 17 popular girls but they got anoying so I became friends with a group of 5 girls and 2 boys and they are the best i love them! but they are a bit weird though...

The question clearly asks how large is your GROUP of close friends, not how many close friends you have. In my friend group, there's 9 of us but I'm not that close with like 3 of them. We just all hang out together and consider ourselves a part of a group. I have 2 other close friends whom I can tell everything to, but they're not in my group, you know?

2-6 usually, too many can be a pain in the ass cuz of the increase chance of disagreements (happens all the time in groups larger than 6 I Have been in)

i have 2 extremely close friends that are like my brother and sister 1 is my best friend nathan who ive known since 3rd grade and my BEST friend summer (R.I.P) who died a while ago but was closer to me than my actual sister. We knew each other since we were 3 and did evrything 2gether. We only got in one "fight" and i considered her the definition of a true friend

I have 1 absolute best friend who I can talk to about ANYTHING, except the fact I'm totally in love with her (she's a girl I'm a guy)
and I have 3 other really good friends who are there when i need them, but aren't 'best friends'

Wow, twenty? who the hell has that many "close friends" 1-6 is just the right amount i think

Out-grown all my friends but one like-minded individual. Almost Uni time, it's best this way.
