I come from the Net - through systems, peoples, and cities - to this place: MAINFRAME. My format: Guardian. To mend and defend - to defend my new found friends, their hopes and dreams, and to defend them from their enemies. They say The User lives outside the Net and inputs games for pleasure. No one knows for sure, but I intend to find out. ReBoot!
I just did some mental calculations (i really hope they're wrong) and came up with about 24.
O_o
Well maybe 4-5 hours a day which includes the time I'm on the internet at work.
These days it is mostly email based work - answering emails from clients maybe an hour to an hour and a half per day.
I don't have social media i.e facebook so most of my online interacts occurs on IIN. So on IIN I'm around 30 minutes in the forum answering posts and maybe an hour or so on the chatroom.
I do interact with other people learning English but I wouldn't say it is socialising as per say as we normally stick to English learning topics.
And the rest of the time, I'm watching videos, Youtube and Justin TV.
At least 18 hours a week, maybe as high as 25.
IIN (for all sorts of reasons), Facebook (mostly for instant messaging), YouTube (mostly streaming music, vlogs, educational stuff, TV shows and various tutorials), Twitter (following, not tweeting), Google (homework, research, time-wasting), Wikipedia (homework, research, time-wasting), Hotmail (talking to people I don't talk to on IIN or Facebook), last.fm (streaming music), BBC iPlayer (streaming TV shows). There are probably others, but those are the sites I've bookmarked.
8 plus hours. IIN, Youtube mainly for music and funny videos of cats (like taylor swift grumpy cat version), facebook I don't even know why anymore, lovefilm instant mainly for the office (original and american versions) lynch and really bad tv shows that are so bad they are funny, zergnet I dont know why half the articles are rubbish, google, wikipedia and imdb for reviews mainly and xbox live
Probably 35 hours or so a week, but that includes work and school use, which is probably over half.
Web sites: reddit, IIN, cracked, stumbleupon, and Youtube. Others occasionally get tossed in, but those are the main ones.
