How long should it take to reach my goals?

I have three main goals in life:

1. Get a girlfriend.
2. Write a book.
3. Travel a lot.

I know this is a very difficult question to answer, since you know dick about me, but I'm wondering how long this is all going to take to achieve, because it would give me SUCH peace of mind if it's all completed. I can die happy then.

- I have already travelled quite a lot (most countries in Europe).
- I also have already written about half of my book (about 150 pages).
- I haven't got a girlfriend (though I'm fairly attractive).

I'm 30 years old at the moment. Please give me your best guess when you think I've completed everything.

Note: I'm NOT a hard worker.

1 and 2 are easy, you are not qualifying your goals, so i assume an ugly girlfriend and a small unpublishable (as its so bad) book would mean you achieve those goals.

Travelling is going to be the tough one, as that depends on you having some brains unless you are already able to pay your way.

Like you say, it's difficult to judge. Even more difficult because all of these are in your own hands, as opposed to external to you. So I have to talk in averages.

The most common age to publish a first book was always late thirties, but this is creeping slowly downwards.

The travelling, you say you want to travel a lot but have already travelled "quite" a lot. For you, what is the difference between quite a lot, and a lot? If quite a lot is 80% of the way there, then a lot is six years away (given your age). If quite a lot is 90% of a lot, then you're three years away.

Getting a girlfriend... impossible to answer because there are so many factors. I prefer to rephrase it as "finding" a girlfriend, though, because "find" puts the onus on you to go out and do it, as opposed to something that will just happen in, and of, itself.
