How long should you take off for one wisdom tooth?

It's going to depend on your personal degree of surgery and how you react to it.

I actually went on a date with a new lady the evening of the day that I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted when I was in college. But, most people usually take between 1 and 3 days.

I'd suggest that you take of 1 day, with the provision that you may need more if things don't go well. Any supervisor or manager with experience will understand that.

Also, be wary of the pain killers they may give you. I certainly was in no shape to drive a car with the narcotic pain killers I had for my wisdom teeth extraction. We just walked to places on campus (and the date did not go well - likely because of the wisdom teeth extraction and pain medication effects).

Depends on if you’ll still get paid.

If you don’t normally work weekends, get it done on a Thursday morning or just Thursday so you can miss 1 1/2 - 2 days and have the weekend. The first initial couple of days I’d say suck but it’s not so bad. I had to go to school 2 days after mine since I missed too much school already and couldn’t miss anything else.

Ask your oral surgeon about this kinda stuff, honey.

When I got my wisdom teeth removed my gums kept bleeding for about two days after my surgery, and the swelling was so bad I physically could not speak for almost a week and had to eat very soft or liquid food only for a week.

I wasn't able to return to work or do very much for about two weeks because of the pain, even on a cocktail of painkillers.

Your best bet would be to ask for more time off now then come back sooner if you're feeling better, given that's an option for you.

A day at least. Gonna be a bitch to eat though.

Also depends on your job if you're a brain surgeon please take a couple days off.

I had all 4 taken out at the same time when I was 16 & I didn't take a single day off school. Didn't even need the pain pills they gave me, there was no pain at all actually.

All four subcutaeneously, parents made me go back to school the next day. I smoked a lot of weed, so it was a non issue. It was the 90s.

One day? I got two removed could barely speak but had to go into work the next day because we don't get more than a few days off the whole year.

None. I had two wisdom teeth pulled and I went bowling and out to dinner the same night.

You can go into work straight after if you really need to, but you will feel shit. If your job is quite physical then I would take the full day off.
