In my country an employee gets:
1.Private sector
-22 annual leave
-10 sick leaves
-After 5 years of service 30 days of vacation leave
2. Public sector
-16 casual leaves
-21 sick leaves
-30 vacation leaves yearly
It's a shame that in the USA it's like that and more shameful that many Americans believe that if it was the other way the companies would not be able to be profitable and they would lose their jobs.
The rest of the world is proof that this is not accurate.
30 paid vacation days.
Unlimited (within reason) paid sick days.
Some (not sure how many) unpaid vacation days are also available, but no European would go for that, unless it was an emergency and you ran out of paid vacation days.
VAT is 15%.
Corporate tax is 15%.
Income tax depends on one's revenue. Low income earners are not taxed. The upper-middle class are taxed at 10% and this rate increase as income increase.
There is a national minimum wage which is revised every year to compensate for inflation.

Pretty much unlimited (within reason) non paid home time. The only enticing factor for you to work is so you get paid. I suppose if you take enough time off they can fire you but as long as you keep it within reason and notify it first its unlimited.
Week paid time off (after a year of working) that is shit in its pay (lowballing the average days wage) which increases by a set amount for every year in both time and pay, as long as you are working.
Guaranteed 4 holidays that can be spent home and the ones you cant or choose to work you get an extra 100$ slapped on your wages.
It's all about seniority, I'm barely above the bottom of the totem pole as it is. Guess it boils down to your dispatcher as well. Mines pretty nice.
In the public sector one can take up to three years leave without pay to study or to take another employment. And after those return back to their post.
In the private sector it is usually 1 year and could be more depending on management and negotiations.

Sure I got to work my butt off but that's the tradeoff. Cant be free and free not to be screwed over by someone. Not how freedom inherently works.
